Might be possible if they chose to do burger style indiscriminate non-stop bombardment.
Or the Taliban style walk-in to the capital.

Really though if Russia just treated Ukes like they did Chechens they would have probably actually taken the ruins of Ukraine by now through concession. I think this is what people expected on top of not understanding how big Ukraine is hence the ignorant expectation that Russia anticipated surrender within 7 days.

Very convenient since Russia is intentionally blowing the fuck out of our Bioweapons labs in the region. Almost like they're scared shitless of what might happen. If one of those bombs merely cracks open a container but doesn't destroy it, or if some fuckwit Slav decides to pull a Chinaman and raid one of the destroyed buildings for free shit...

Well. I guess we'll get to see if Ukrainian bioweapons researchers are any better than Chinaman bioweapons researchers.

I wonder if that's the unspoken thing here. If at least some motivation behind Putin's actions was he knew about the 36 Bioweapons labs we have in the Ukraine and decided to bomb the shit out of them instead of letting the US unleash COVID22 either on his border or literally in his country when they next needed lockdowns + easy vote rigging.
For some reason they're talking about ancient, extinct diseases like polio. Why? Are they trying engineer more powerful versions of those diseases or are they cushioning the blow for the real diseases? That is such an odd list of examples.

This. (Except for the "indiscriminate" part, that was more once we got into the COIN phase.) Russia has spent the last decade or so trying to sell itself as a peer to the US military, and regardless of exactly how wrong things may or may not be going, they are not going "US rolls on a shithole" good.

Yep. Your car doesn't benefit from higher octane fuel unless you were told it does when it was sold to you. Only performance engines are prissy enough to need the higher explosive resistance to run properly. Don't think of octane as energy, think of it as your car's pickiness rating.
The ignition system is tuned, and the pistons specced, for a certain level of octane. But dropping more in - for a while - can be fucking glorious. The higher temperatures and bigger bangs (stop me if I get too technical here) will blow all the crud out and your car will run sweeter than a ukrainian hooker. Just make sure your you only do one tank per year.

Kek, this guy has been assblasted all of last thread and seemingly all of this thread too!
Of course, his country is being wafflestomped and every day there's new bullshit coming out about his country's government being incompetent, lying, glowing like the sun, etc. He can't actually go out and fight so the most he can do is post photos of dead Russian soldiers (which he's seemingly stopped doing, but did a lot in the first week) and leaving dislike and thumbs down stickers on people's posts when they say anything other than extreme pro-Ukraine talking points and hate towards Putin.

I don't believe this narrative, I won't believe this narrative & I demand proof that it's actually true.
This thread is taking it's toll on your mental health brother. Seek help.

Even setting aside the fact that writing superhero fanfiction about an actual real life war is ubercringe to begin with, those lines have got to be some of the worst dialogue ever written. '"A couple of guns if you can spare some", she wisecracks'

Asking for proof of an unsubstantiated claim during a period of wartime propaganda is not mental illness, fuck off.

I've seen footage of their vehicles losing their tires on the side of the road and I've seen video footage of Ukrainians taking Russian hostages.

I've seen two contradictory claims that Russia has sent in their D game & that they're pulling punches on purpose, I've only seen substantial evidence of the former. Deductive reasoning would dictate that they're genuinely struggling in taking over Ukraine with shitty, unmaintained equipment. Occam's razor states the simplest explanation is the correct one, which is not "they're pulling their punches."

Russia is not going slow by any measure, especially considering the reality that they are trying to avoid civilian deaths which the US only sorta-does overseas. This would be like if Texas became its own country and the US decided to roll in and reclaim it while avoiding gunning down non-combatants and not Grozny-ing Austin.

I wouldn't be surprised if Grozny-ing is on the table as they have apparently been telling everyone (soldiers and civilians) to get out of the so-called "cauldrons." For whatever reason this offer has not been taken up by many. I buy the speculation that Ukrainian troops are not allowing civilians to leave on the prescribed corridors because it's the only thing keeping the artillery dimmed.

You are retarded and don't know jack shit about cars.

Higher octane in an engine that isn't meant to use that octane will not give you higher temperatures and "bigger bangs", you fucking mongoloid. More octane means the fuel is less able to combust, which helps when your engine has high compression ratios and the fuel would, if not for that lower combustion ability, self-ignite when compressed and cause preignition or detonation.

Putting high octane fuel into an engine not built for it will give you slightly less power output (usually unnoticeable by the average user) and that's fucking it. Well, and a slightly lighter wallet.

The claim is "the Russian army has so far tried to limit civilian casualties as much as possible" and the proof is pretty self-evident considering we've even seen Russian columns stopping to let Ukrainian civilian cars cross the road before continuing, and haven't seen mass MLRS strikes on Kiev, etc.

I have not seen any of this shit you're describing and nothing is self evident.

It'll be just like my Fallout games!

We have GMD. Which has been tested. Not sure how many ICBMs we can realistically shoot down though.
I'll go with my stealth build first, power armor after.

It's not only that they don't want to waste shells, though that is a big factor. There's literally no benefit to bombing a hospital in Donetsk Oblast on purpose for Russia since they want to incorporate Mariupol into the DNR.

If RU deliberately (or fired into that area knowing a hospital could be hit) bombed the hospital, it might serve to terrorise the majority Ukrainian speakers in the Oblast to leave. The green men 'Republics' wouldn't function with the pre war and likely current demographics, even with RU troops. Some of the refugees better get used to losing their homes if Putin extends the 'Republics' to more or most of the claimed territory.

king Ukraine to make a "buffer" from NATO and/or wmd just puts the new Russian border up against about 7 additional countries in NATO with wmd. If Ukraine becomes part of Russia then Russia has three times the dangerous neighbors it used to have. This math confuses me.
Unqualified retard here so do not believe anything I Say, in fact actively assume everything I am going to say is wrong but I believe the logic goes something like this

1. Russia has been invaded twice from the west in the last 100 odd years or so.
2. Each time this has happened millions upon millions have died with many millions more being injured or left destitute/homeless etc
3. The first Invasion led to the overthrow of the Monarchy (the Government) and the second Invasion put the Government that came after on a Knife's Edge and if the Germans had won would have meant that the Soviets would have lost practically all of European Russia. As a result Russians are very paranoid about threats to the west
4. Speaking of European Russia, it is flat, very flat. You know what Does not impede NATO Tanks? Flat ground. Once again the Geography of European Russia leads to the Rulers of the land to be very paranoid about Invasion from the west.
5. Flat Ground is not without its benefits especially when you have a lot of it paired with scorched earth tactics as the French and Germans can attest to but this is an entirely different subject
6. Therefore it would seem to me that to the Russians Land = Time. More land, more Time to organize a defense, to regroup, more time before Moscow or other vital cities are directly attacked etc etc

Now how much this matters in modern warfare and nuclear warfare I do not know.
