not quite accurate. it is true that sometimes axolotls are interbred with tiger salamanders, but purebred axies can also morph, either due to very bad environmental conditions (they'll morph to escape water that is too unhealthy for them, which is an extreme condition because they're very hardy) or because of the introduction of iodine. In fact, one of the earliest studied axolotl specimens was shipped to France, only for the very confused researcher recipient to get a morphed axie, as it morphed on the way due to stress. Finally, it is not true that it's perfectly natural and healthy. It's very stressful for the axie and severely diminishes their lifespan. Not to say they can't be healthy but there's just no good reason to do it. Also, when an axie "naturally morphs" it's usually literally just a mislabeled tiger salamander.
