The MMPI is an interesting test. It's got all kinds of things built into it to detect people trying to fake results or play the test. If his test came back saying that, he's undoubtedly got those problems. It's not foolproof, of course, but the average person is going to get accurate results from it.
Also, those questions from the psychologist are pretty standard ones. Especially the relationship with his mother. It's an overdone meme that ~everything is the parents fault~, but a lot of adult issues do have roots in your relationship with your parents, especially during your early years. The question is how much. The question is in no ~transphobic~, everyone gets asked that in therapy. The other two are to establish a baseline understanding of his feelings on dysphoria and gender identity.
I swear these people have no concept of critical thinking, self-reflection, or understanding how psychology works. It's truly amazing in a way.
