I've abandoned the thread since Elden Ring's release - playing it myself - and have seen a couple compilations of Phil recently (after clocking up a lot of time and not worrying about spoilers), and I gotta ask
Does Phil insnufflate some kind of substance? The snorting frequency is not normal, reminds me of a user

Probably been asked before but maybe he's railing adderal or some shit.

It's his post nasal drip, nothing he can do about it dood. Despite showing that he can go hours without it.

Really it's only one of his "habits" like leaning into the mic and the awful "bottle crunches". It's like he does it to either push anyone with standards away from his streams and to prove that he has some kind of power over his wheelchairs.

No one expected Elden Ring to do well? What the fuck are you talking about Phil? Ever since Demon's Souls and the rise of streaming, there's been a steady rise of people who make it part of their online time. Even if they don't play Souls games exclusively or routinely, a new one comes out and every streamer and wannabe jumps on it. It's gotten so bad I've watched the internet be full of pretenders who were always into From games and always quote King's Field, nevermind that was not even known way back when, and people who say Armored Core are looked down upon with disdain like you're a fucking leper. Souls games have become a fucking cult.

Don't get me wrong, they're fun and well made; but the cult of personality that's popped up around them makes me want to start shoving sped-runners into lockers.

These past few days I tried to watch less detractor content and instead some actual streamers. I watched a pokemon stream (not PLA) where the guy playing nicknamed a pokemon based on a joke I made, no money asked, not even subbed to him and I also watched quite a few people play Elden Ring. Not only were the ER streamers reading the chat and joking with the audience, but a few of them literally pulled youtube videos to watch along with their viewers at the request of usual non-subbed stream attendees. Really puts things into perspective. DSP asks to be payed for things that other streamers can give you for free.

In the early days of Twitch, I remember just looking around and saw a guy playing Parasite Eve 1. He was doing a challenge run type thing where every death he'd give away a prize. I happened in at the finale of Day 6 when he's fighting the final boss with like 4 different forms and then having to do a small maze run before making it to the end; he died quite a few times, and can't speak for others, but I got a free Steam game, from a guy I started watching like 10 minutes ago. Another time, walked into another stream, doing the same thing with a different game (don't remember which) and doing shirt give aways, I won, gave my info, and sure as shit a shirt arrived in a week or so.

The amount of effort and outright friendliness and shit others put out more than DSP is what makes me know he's a shitty streamer and doesn't deserve all the money he gets.

Its really easy to forget this, a lot of streamers are actually happy to have an audience guide the direction of the content, getting good ideas for stuff to watch, goals, etc. Not only is Phil just too lazy for anything like that, but he seriously can't stand to let anyone get any kind of shine besides him. He will read a suggestion in chat and seconds later say, "Oh I just thought to do this..." Its actual child behavior and hilarious compared to a normal streamer.

This kind of thing is why I would enjoy hearing that on his day off, he got hit by a car and it utterly obliterated his pelvis. Suck at video games all you want, I'll never really care, but suck as a human being, and I will hope that bad things happen to you.

I love Riker, seriously comical dood. Not a half-bad director either.
