A South Florida elementary schoolteacher from Pines Lakes Elementary had to be hospitalized after a 5-year-old student in her classroom attacked her last week. She had to be intubated and will need surgery.

According to Fox13, two students in the classroom, ages 4 and 5, began throwing [A] objects at the teachers and flipping the chairs.

The injured teacher, Trisha Meadows, brought the 5-year-old into another room after several faculty members split up the students. President of the Broward Teachers Union, Ana Fusco, stated that at that moment the 5-year-old unnamed student then attacked Meadows.

“He actually ran and attacked and jumped on her with his whole body weight,” Fusco said. “She fell and hit her head, which caused the severe injury and other bodily injuries where she is going to need surgery.”

The publication reports that school faculty members could hear Meadows on her school radio, requesting help. When an officer finally arrived to aid assistance, they found her sitting on the ground against the wall, appearing to be in a “faint state.”

Despite Meadows blinking and breathing, the officer stated that she was otherwise “unresponsive,” stating that she was unable to “verbally respond or show any signs of a response.”

Meadows was rushed to a nearby hospital but has been released and is recovering at home. She has not yet undergone surgery for her injuries.

It wouldn’t be the first time the student has violently attacked their teacher. Fusco revealed Meadows had been hospitalized three separate times after violent outbreaks by the student, including an incident where the student threw a bookcase on the teacher, leaving her pinned underneath it.

“She has been hospitalized several times by this student. It’s not this first time, not the second time; it’s the third time,” Fusco said. “The district has failed. They need to get in there and when the teachers are saying, ‘I’ve got this happening,’ whether it’s one time. It should never get past one time when it’s that severe of rage and violence.”

One parent, who did not want to be identified, shared with the news outlet that her child is in the same class, a special needs classroom. The 5-year-old has also been known to strike other students, causing black eyes and other injuries.

“You continuously get this from one student, one, two students; it’s an issue,” the parent said. “This is not the first time that this has happened at this school, in this classroom. I feel like there needs to be the proper support. This is a special needs [A] class; however, they’re not equipped to deal with things like this.”

The Broward County School Board told [A] WSVN that all district protocols were followed. The Broward Teachers Union says Meadows is unlikely to return to the school.

Due to the boy’s age, charges against him are not likely.

Y'know, I get it. He's just a kid, and being special needs he likely just doesn't have the ability to control his strength/emotions. There's no way he really understands what he's done here, and no one should really expect a 5-year-old to have that amount of introspection.

But where this has happened before with this same kid, towards other students even, I think there comes a time where more "intervention" is required. Parents may not being doing enough at home, or maybe just not going about it right, but they do need to be looked in to. Kid seems to be beyond the help of just a basic special ed class, and seems like he just needs to have individual classes with someone trained to handle tard rage safely.

It's a shame though. You know this lady isn't and will never be paid enough to deal with this shit, and she's likely just fucked for life now because the higher-ups of the school didn't do their due diligence from past problems.

I feel like mainstream schooling for a lot of kids like this is a mistake.
Maybe it's the 12 years of hearing teachers just like her extolling the virtues of mainstreaming (despite the clear detriment to me) that's responsible for my complete lack of pity in this situation. You insisted these kids aren't left behind and rallied for rules that tie your own hands, have fun wrangling those tards now!

It's not much more info or a big update. But, according to this other article, the police and CPS will be investigating the kid's home.

No Charges For 5-Year-Old Who Left Teacher Hospitalized After Violent Attack, South Florida Police Say
Article / Archive [ https://archive.ph/zJmQb ]
Police in South Florida have been investigating a rather unique case in which a 5-year-old who left a teacher hospitalized after an attack is their only culprit.

A police report described the incident, which took place at Pines Lakes Elementary School, and a police report described it as an aggravated assault with hands, fist or feet.

However, due to the circumstances of the case, police will not be pursuing the young assailant. [A]

The child will not face charges following the attack on the teacher.

The anonymous child is reported to have special needs and was likely unaware of the gravity of their actions.

The incident began when the teacher intervened because the child and another student were throwing things in the classroom.

She took the 5-year-old into a smaller "cool down" room and that's where the student attacked her, the police report said.

Upon requesting help via the school radio, an officer arrived to find the women "appearing to be in a faint state," the report said.

She was reported to have been dry heaving and appeared weak and dazed.

The teacher was then placed on a stretcher and taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.

The teacher will require surgery for her injuries.

Broward Teachers Union President Anna Fusco said the teacher had to be intubated at the hospital.

"She was caught where he ran and jumped on her and attacked her with his body weight, which caused the severe injury and she will need surgery," Fusco said.

Fusco also said it's the third time the teacher was taken from the classroom in an ambulance because of injuries from the same student.

In a previous incident, the teacher lost consciousness and was treated for a concussion after the student pinned her under a bookcase.

Fusco described the teacher, who has 13 years of experience working with special needs students, as “wonderful.”

Police will be investigating the child’s home.

The police report states that the child protective investigations department had been alerted and they will be responding to the child's home.

Parents have also expressed outrage towards the incident.

“We’re talking about an elementary classroom, a 4 and a 5-year-old, that’s crazy,” one parent, who has a child in the class but asked not to be identified, told WSVN. [A]

We all know not much will come of it, CPS will only do shit if it's really serious and the parents fail to meet even the lowest of their standards/requirements, but it might end up revealing something later down the road.

And yeah, as a few have already said here, tard strength is literally no joke. You know how people on PCP rage the fuck out and can tank tasers like they're nothing? It's like that, but even less discriminate. Age makes very, very little difference in just how much damage they can do.

Before anyone chides me for my outlook, look into any states stats on juvenile offenders, recidivism is a thing.
One of my earliest steps on my journey to becoming a jaded, cynical asshole was being told that recidivism is due to our evil prison system that literally forces inmates to rape and murder people the second they get out by not showing them enough care and compassion while they're behind bars. Idiot that I am, I decided to see how other country's rates looked, and lo and behold they're all pretty much the same. You can throw them in an empty concrete box and treat them like actual shit, or you can give them a Sweden-style luxury apartment, but the fact is that some people are just irredeemable garbage and no amount of "rehabilitation" will fix them.

I do think our system needs to be better at determining who these people are though. Lost causes should be pushed into an incinerator at the earliest possible opportunity for the health of society, whereas people who are actually capable of acting like adults should be given a chance after some paying back to society. The entire reason prison is so terrible is because we put humans in there with what are essentially brain damaged apes.

the last time i interacted with a kid that age (six years old not five but close enough) i was able to lift her off the ground effortlessly, i can't imagine how such a small kid could cause serious trouble for an adult

but i never saw a tard kid, maybe those are indeed different, no idea
She’s probably tiny and a push over.

A family member used to work with these "adult" people and one came at him in a tard-rage, but (family member), being the only man and fairly new, balled his fist - which he was not supposed to do - and the sped kind of gained 50 IQ points and backed down.
They don't often take women seriously like they do men. They'll try all sorts of shit with women but will cower away from a man as soon as it even looks like he's going to respond. Consequently, men are often in high demand in these jobs.

I'm pretty sure the tard just rammed her when she wasnt looking, knocked her off balance, and the fall was what hurt her most. Everything else was just icing on the cake.

Still, its funnier thinking a tiny speed bodied a grown woman. At least, the person who wrote the headline thought so.
Said he ran at full speed, probably charged her like The Fridge. And knew how to do it from the three other times he's done it.
kinda. It's hard to describe, but handle with care entails a bear hug from behind (cuz the little fucks will 100% bite your fucking face if they can), then leaning back and letting your body tak most of the fall, while pivoting to be on top of the kid. Again, hard to describe, easy enough to do though, with a few hours of training.. CIT is legit though. Lot safer for the staff, and at the end of the day, most "staff" are barely above minimum wage family folks, who need to get home safe, fuck the kid if they get a few bruises or shoulder strain, or even cracked ribs. Again, I know I sound heartless, but I didn't work with good or bad kids. I worked with damaged kids, who were sometimes capable of rape, and murder, as young as I think 8 years old.
Those kinds of kids, as horrible as it may say, don't really deserve to live. If you are 8 and capable of rape, like that one Idaho Falls case where the five-year-old was raped by a bunch of eight year old 'refugees', time to go out like Old Yeller. They only get worse as adults. IIRC, brain scans done on these kids show nearly black. There is no activity.
Some of those kids are pretty big. They lack the self control that keeps them from acting like wild chimpanzees too.

I feel like mainstream schooling for a lot of kids like this is a mistake. Kids that are only mildly handicapped may benefit. But if your five year old can throw chairs across the room now what's he going to be like in high school? Imagine a 250 lb hulking shrieking monster who can lift up the teacher's desk and bash her over the head with it.

I'm guessing he's got autism and his parents indulge him at home to keep him quiet and keep the holes in the wall to a minimum.
I don't think it's just autism. If these kids are chucking entire tables at people for the hell of it and don't have a single moment where they wonder what they just did, it's a personality disorder. Like damage to the frontal lobe kind of thing. Where you go into a rage and there is no predicting it. Worse than BPD. There is no cure for these kids. No meds can help them.

I found a comment on YouTube years ago, on a MGTOW video. The guy said he would get into nasty fights with his brother, to the point his sister and mother feared approaching him. He only stopped when his dad came around. Now, brothers will often fight and brawl a little. But when the women of your family absolutely fear you that isn't normal behaviour. You have a personality disorder.

For everybody pOnTiFiCaTiNg about "Lol, issa five year old, lol, whatta dum dum dummy teacher, lol!"

I taught middle and high school. Social Studies and SPED--BOLTH mainstream and self contained. I'm not in Flariduh, but I taught pubblik skool, and a LOT of it is the same:

* NO SUPPORT from administrators or parents. MANY kids raised by Goddamn fucking GRANDPARENTS and even GREAT GRANDPARENTS because their genetic dead ends were somehow even LESS responsible than Mr. RYAN HOOVES Holiday.
* SPEDS are VIOLENT. Some are bigger than the fucking Principal. Some are just like that 4chan b tard joke moderator video on Youtube:
* Again... NO SUPPORT. It ain't the good old days where your license meant you are a trusted professional who could run your classroom the way you see fit.
* Restraint. ELL OH FUCKING ELL. Wanna end up on the 5 o'clock news? Even if you follow procedure to the TEE, you are looking at the possibility of NEVER COMING HOME because your home is now county lockup central booking and the public already has the approved crafted narrative about you. Truth? What even IS THAT?

There are many real reasons there's a teaching shortage in the US. These are just a few. And for the love of almighty CHRIST, SHADDUP unless you've worked, long term, on a regular basis, and/or have the licensure and qualifications to work with special needs populations because you REALLY do not know. With all due respect.
We should go back to locking superspeds in a small room where they can't hurt people.

It would be nice but that'd actually be useful and cut into the gibs budget.
They also had a habit of turning out people like Clyde Barrow, Carl Panzram, Gary Gilmore and many others with an unquenchable hate for anything with a pulse through a steady diet of brutal physical and sexual abuse. It also gave them access to networks of fellow training school washouts that they'd meet up with and become roving robbery/rape/murder gangs upon release .

No thank you.

Not only would it waste money for no appreciable reduction in recidivism, it would just make things worse.

Nah. CPS only does shit if the parents are actually trying and seem decent. Then they make sure to fuck them over as hard as they can. Fuck ups and hoodrats? They happily turn a blind eye.

If CPS actually cared about children and had any balls, they'd be invading black communities and taking all the children and not financially raping middle upper class men and giving BPD women rights to children.

So a handful of miscreants instead of a whole race. Truly a terrible decision.
