Remember when they got away with unpersoning Alex Jones because everyone for the most part saw him as a schizo retard? I feel like that is what is going to happen here. Blocking RT and getting no flak for it means any big tech company can silence a media site so long as it is under the excuse of muh misinformation.
They silenced the sitting US Presidant without batting an eye. Blocking RT is going to make them no more comfortable with doing something than they already were.

3. Helicopter gunships of the Mi-* series seem to be increasingly outmoded and irrelevant deathtraps for the combat roll. It seems like they have been effectively grounded on both sides because of the strong SHORAD capabilities of both sides.
aren't all types of helicopters just sitting ducks for manpads?
fighter jets are too fast to be easily shot down by infantry with redeyes or stingers, but helicopters are slow and clunky and vulnerable enough to get fucked by any infrared guided missile someone points at them, no?

So this is what the late stage USSR felt like, complete with a defeat in Afghanistan, lack of goods, inflation and a medically unfit meat puppet for a head of state.

Who will play the American Gorbachev, I wonder? Tulsi Gabbard might fit the role.

Send them to Rossiya nd Ukraïna. Puerto Rico can make plenty of their own.

all the downsides of being a part of the US and none of the perks.
...ye the Independence Party always stays a pitiful minority.
Frankly, if w ever become a state, there is going to be an uproar over 'colonialism', even though most of our problems are our fault.

The outcome of this war will determined by which side will implement this strategy first.

The US has been pouring resources into developing countermeasures against nukes but current capabilities aren't enough to offer any meaningful protection.

The engineering problem has best been summed up as "trying to block a bullet, using another bullet." While ICBMs are 1970s technology, they take roughly 30 minutes to reach their target from launch. The Reentry Vehicles travel at hypersonic velocity and can very cheaply/easily be loaded with chaff (e.g. fucking metal plates cheap/easy) that give off similar radar signatures during the critical minutes that a Reentry Vehicle can be shot down. This problem is an order of magnitude more difficult to deal with than the drones that are currently giving Russian and Saudi AA hell.

The silver lining is that the Russian nuclear arsenal has been known for years to have shit reliability (e.g. they drive out to a silos to discover it's completely flooded - where as a water leak in a US silo will be discovered within a week as we take Nuclear Surety very seriously). In theory, they compensate for worse reliability and accuracy with higher warhead yields but judging from their performance in the Ukraine, a significant number of their reentry vehicles will fail to hit their targets.

That being said, we still need to take the threat seriously. A single High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (e.g. a single Nuke detonated in the upper atmosphere) is enough to knock out the entire electrical grid of the United States. This sort of attack is virtually unstoppable.

This means every bank account, stock exchange, crypo wallet, website, and any appliance plugged into the electrical grid gets immediately fried. We're talking trillions of dollars in damage if even one of their nukes gets off a national EMP. The only thing that's been preventing nuclear war for nearly a century is mutually assured destruction. Our nukes have massive Electoral Surge Arrestors that can withstand the pulse that will spread throughout the power grid and massive diesel generators and batteries that will give them enough power to give Russia the exact same treatment if they strike first.
My understanding is that one of the first things the Orange Nigger did when he came into power was to harden the main electrical substations against EMPs. It wasn’t too expensive to do.

So far the sanctions seem to have the same effect as anti-racist campaigns that end up creating even more racists: people consider themselves unfairly punished
That's the most bizarre thing about all of this, Visa and Mastercard cut services into Russia but because Russians in Russia have Russian bank accounts that aren't affected by this shit, all it does is affect Yuri or Petr who moved to Germany or New York for work related reasons or running soup kitchens by cutting off all the money they have.

Not only is it causing an internal hatred of the West within Russia, it's actively uniting people who don't even feel that ethnically Russian anymore. It's such a weird way of lashing out that I genuinely wonder if it's purposefully designed so enough resentment is caused for people to get behind Russian internment camps for the safety of the people.

Given how Russia bombed Chechnya into the dirt not that long ago, can any history buffs or Russia buffs enlighten me how Russia managed to gain such devotion from Chechens?
chechenya gets to enjoy a lot of regional autonomy, and their leaders (kadyrov and his gang) get paid very well by putin to remain loyal

More saboteurs, eh? If the Russians had enough patience they could wait until the last Ukrainian kills the second to the last Ukrainian for being a "saboteur".
It genuinely feels like war is the best way of getting rid of that guy you had a grudge with since school when he fucked your childhood sweetheart. Oh yeah officer I caught him stealing food, I made sure to put thirty bullets in his back to ensure he will never compromise our food supplies yet again.

Independentistas would secretly love it - they could continue their grift indefinitely (or at least long enough for them to all die out).

PR independence would be their worst nightmare. Right now their platform relies on like 20 levels of wishful thinking - "oh you'll be able to keep your US citizenship (even though the Philippines didn't get that)" or "don't worry, we'll keep the dollar (even though without sovereign control over their own currency, PR would immediately experience catastrophic deflation absent mainland investment)"

My Russian isn't great but there's something weird about "Parashenko Suka" as it's basically Parashenko Bitch, whereas I'd more likely phrase it as "Parashenko, Te Suka" with "Te" being the informal and disrespectful way of saying you in Russian.

That's rather retarded, as Hitler did kill German jews, he also had the Night of Long Knives where he killed his own followers which is used a warning to those who promote revolution to this day.
jews are jews, not germans

the better answer is that hitler did indeed persecute and kill lots of ethnic germans, mainly political dissidents like commies, social democrats, liberals, pacifists, some monarchists and conservatives, even a bunch of high ranking military men and fellow national socialists who were opposed to hitler in some way

A question, Russia says it entered a war because it can't have NATO members on its borders. But if they conquer Ukraine wouldn't that mean that the neighboring countries that are part of NATO are now a target for invasion?
If NATO is meant to expand to all countries that are not Russia or China then may as well take some while there's still some neutral countries.
