But he's cool with Kuruni? The fuck?Fighteer threatens to delete an fanfic page because the guy who made it doesn't speak English and is suspended over it.
Since TVT is collectively diagnosed with OCD, they've fixed it and started bitching at him, despite the fact that no sane person would care about an random piece of fanfiction.

Teddy bears are like the single most universal children's toy to ever exist. I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone call them a "girl's toy". This reads like it was written by a twelve year old. What page is this?View attachment 3071088
this shit isn't scary wtf
Creepypasta nightmare fuel. It's mostly just users jerking off stuff they obviously wrote themselves.Teddy bears are like the single most universal children's toy to ever exist. "And the worst part was, the father was enforcing the gender binary! Gasp!!"
I thought all fanfic pages were written by their authors lolSpeaking of the mentally impaired, CrazySamaritan just gave an lesson on psychology over how to get someone who's obsessed with their fanfic page to actually contribute to the wiki.
Well in the BBC verison, Aouda is replaced by a gender-flipped version of Inspector Fix (the guy whose chasing Fogg under the false pretense he's a criminal on the run) called Abigail Fix (which is actually a pen name. Her real surname is Fortescue) a budding journalist who is documenting Fogg's journey against her father's wishes. And despite the Beeb trying to make her into the "stronk, indapendant wahmen fightin da male powa", she's actually less badass than Aouda (yeah, the ultra-progressive BBC replaced a cool woman of colour with a watered down white replacement. Im gobsnacked no one's called that out so far). Aouda does make an appearance in the episode based in India, but instead of being sacrificed in a sati (I guess the beeb thought keeping that in would lead to people calling them racist he though it is something they actually did back then. I'd be like setting a story in mesoamerica and not including the part about them sacficaing people cos "muh racism"), she's about to be married to an army deserter and Fogg & the gang have to convince the British army to spare said deserter the fate of execution. As for Passepartout, he is indeed changed into a black guy (and much like a certain creator of a shitty rebooted version of an 80s cartoon, they paid the price for doing so) and to be fair, he is fairly badass and is treated as you would expect a black guy to be treated in the 19th century, especially when they go to America (and as you can imagine, the attack on their train by Indians is cut out cos again "muh racism". I'll give you one clue as to who replaces them;they're fond of wearing white robes).Maybe I don't remember Around the World too well because its been almost twenty years since I read it, but Aouda the main love interest, is a Parsi woman (from Iran) living in India, and who is about to be subject to Sati. That's a real thing that really happened where people were fucking immolated. She joins the story when she's rescued by Fogg and Passepartout. That's the India part that I'm sure is considered racist, I only really remember the train attack from when they're in America. I don't really remember thinking that Passepartout was supposed to be black or ambiguous, just slightly darker, and from everything I remember he was a much more active hero, mostly because he was stronger and more fit than Fogg who was the brains/benefactor. Aouda was an invaluable addition to their crew, who was the one who helped them realized that they actually won their bet.
Aouda also tries to cap some fuckers when their train is attacked.
Sure, I have no doubt that the book from 1872 probably has some attitudes that wouldn't fly today. Its worth a read, and getting pissy about values that were different means you're just depriving yourself.
>assuming that kind of shit isn’t still happening.Or they could pretend it's 2016, cast some strong sassy negress as Wilhelmina Fogg and a decrepit old guy as the hapless manservant and blame the inevitable failure on racism and bigotry.
How awfully racist of him!!!Fighteer threatens to delete an fanfic page because the guy who made it doesn't speak English and is suspended over it.
