He can try and use that excuse and even though I can not stand Blaire White with White's subscriber count nearly 1 million that in itself would blow the "its because I am trans" excuse out the water. People dislike Jim not because he is suddenly trans (which I doubt he really is) but because he is an annoying cunt.

It's hard to constantly screech repetitively while exuding negativity and misery yet remain entertaining. Jim used to be able to make interesting commentary on negative aspects of gaming/games companies but he's turned it into just an endless moan and comes across not as angry, but as incredibly depressed that he's stuck in this genre. I can't think of any successful YouTube channel where they just rant unhappily.

Jim's Ender Ring review was actually decent as he was having fun and expressing his enjoyment to the rest of us and not complaining about his viewers or society - no moaning that we viewers are too pro-capitalism/anti-trans, just someone expressing the good and bad points of a game. Even if he'd hated the game, if he'd kept the same way of reviewing it, it would have been a good video, also.

All I can hear when I watch a Jimquisition is a high-pitched "waaahhh waaahhh waaahhh" over and over. That's not fun to watch or hear.

He keeps banging on about muh trans oppression while at the same time he acknowledges (at least in recent videos) that people complain about him moaning about the same bullshit. I've given him the benefit of the doubt a lot but its hard to do that when he actively deflects criticism with transphobia.

It never was a valid excuse. A few months after this slide started and Jim started using that as the reason for his declining viewership, someone actually dug through the numbers and pointed out the the drop started to occur several weeks before Jim came out with his announcement. It's possible that him coming out may have exacerbated the decline, but I think people were fed up with Jim being a broken record and going on the same tirade week after week even when it had little to do with gaming. He was already being insufferable and then started being insufferable about losing subscribers in particular.

If you go back far enough (around page 325 in this thread) you can see it as it developed. It was around early to mid December 2020 that people really started to think he was actually going to troon out and he essentially confirmed it in a tweet on December 14, 2020.

Meanwhile if you pull up Socialblade's figures, you'll see that Jim actually started losing subscribers starting in October (video views started dropping off in September) of that year and that the coming out announcement in December actually gave him a bump where he gained more than he lost. Really though you can see that the gradual decline appears to have started well before that though. I went back through past archives of his Socialblade to show the graph of this happening closest to that time.

I crawled back through some of the earlier snapshots (archive) and there were enough of them to be able to confirm that Jim hadn't been below 5 million monthly views since May 2015 when his channel initially took off over the previous year. I was never subscribed to Jim in the first place, but would still often check out his videos, but my interest has certainly dropped off as it became clear he disliked his channel and his audience for whatever reason and started putting out especially awful takes that pass even less well than he does. Frankly his content isn't even worth hate-watching either because it's the same tiring shit week after week and it's not so funny or amusing as it is just sad and pathetic.

It seems to me that he became this twisted and miserable person inside (or more of one at any rate) and it's only after the fact that his outward appearance changed to match it. All the bitterness and loathing is too much to contain and it's seeping out of every pore. If it's horrifying now, imagine where it will be in five years.

The trans shit is an interesting point because I think Jim is both right and wrong: People aren't unsubbing because he is trans, they're unsubbing because he won't stop talking about being trans.

Controon is openly trans and makes videos on the topic because that's what his channel is about, amongst other things; same with Blaire. People came to Jim for video game shit, so it wouldn't make a difference if he had started giving Christian sermons, shilling for Israel or, just say for example, making 30 minute videos disinterestedly playing with 90s action figures...that's not what people subscribed for so why would they stay?

It's been said many times before, but Jim is astoundingly and ironically entitled when it comes to the devotion he seems to think he is owed, and I think that stems from the fact that he always thought people where there for him, not the content. He thinks he's a Critikal or a Pewdiepie who can talk about any old shit and still rake in millions of views, but he's actually just an annoying fat dude who happened to make niche, interesting analytical content about the gaming industry when nobody else was.

Now he either screeches about tranny shit or rehashes the same handful of topics I've heard a million times before with no new arguments or solutions...with the best will in the world, what am I supposed to get out of that?

Jim looks really fucking bad in this image, the overdone eye shadow makes him look more like someone attempting drag than trying to be a woman and whatever he's done to the wig has made it looks terrible. I can only describe it as looking like plastic or extremely greasy but at the same time uncared for and frazzled.
