Messi got what he fuckin’ deserved!

Not entirely sure how you enforce blocking their access to waterways, without it being war.

A blockade is an act of war. The US put one on Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis but called it a quarantine because of that. Of course it didn't matter cause it was just Cuba and they felt that the Corn Lord Krushev wasn't gonna go to war for that.
Theres a few spots you could effectively deny them, but at the end of the day Russia is just to fucking big. I don't think even all the nato members combined, including the US, have enough ships to do a full blockade of Russia.

I wonder if they were talking about denial of access to the suez and Panama canals. That's about the only thing I could think of outside of denying sea access to st Petersburg and Kalingrad.

BREAKING: US Deputy Treasury Secretary says further options Washington has against Russia include a full trade embargo and blocking Russian access to international waterways.

Ah, the Japan treatment, that worked so well in the past.
This couldn't possibly be true, this would be just as aggressive as a no fly zone, if they are considering a marine blockade then i can only imagine they are more than willing to start WW3 just for the sake of completing the trilogy

This is DC we're talking about, they don't live in reality and have the combined intelligence of a retard swinging a sword around a nursing home.

To get an effective blockade on em you'd really just need to block em at Denmark and Istanbul. That pretty much just leave Vladivostok as their only open port, which the US Pacific fleet could handle with probably one carrier task force.

You know with the consensus that Russia will win, its going to suck for the Ukrainians who made that Russian call his mother on camera.
The most hilarious possible outcome would be a bunch of western jurnoswine getting captured by Russia and then Russia using the precedent set by the Nuremberg trials to execute them as propagandists inciting war crimes. Julius Streicher would be laughing from heaven.

Not surprising in the slightest.

It's common knowledge that Russia's pre-sanction economy was the size of Texas. This means that the US has WAY more to lose in a nuclear exchange. I cannot overstate how retarded Biden is to continually stack the deck in favor of Russia finally saying "fuck it, let's just return to monke - we're a poor-as-fuck shithole now and we'll be a poor-as-fuck shithole after"

Russia might actually end up being the death of the anitchrist globohomo.

Are people still arguing about why Russia invaded Ukraine? Still taking the word of Putin's televised addresses?

For fucks sake the essay Putin wrote, which was released in middle of last summer which would have meant planning and preparation for the invasion was already in the works, basically serves as a manifesto titled "Why I invaded Ukraine" in retrospect.

He doesn't think Ukrainians are a seperate people at all from Russians, they are one in the same in his mind. He also calls an independent Ukraine impossible because Ukrainians and Russians are one and the same, which also applies to Belarus, and when Lukashenko kicks the bucket it will definitely get annexed into the Russian Federation, if not sooner.

I don't think this really has a ton to do with Nazis, NATO, Crimea and Donbass. Those are certainly reasons for it happening, but also serves causa belli for the public. He wants to restore Imperial Russia's borders as much as possible. If it really about Crimea and Donbass land based military operations would mostly be limited to that area, instead of the majority of Ukraine like it actually is.
No. It's about Gazprom's pipeline access, picking up some warm water ports (despite being restricted by the Bosporus) and not having a border with NATO. Don't overthink it. He doesn't actually give a shit about Russian nationalism. The Vatniks who think he's going to restore the Russian Empire or Soviet Union are the same as the tards who thought Trump was going to bring about the Fourth Reich. This is less Mein Kampf and more Iraq WMD.

If he actually gave a shit about Russians and Ukrainians being the same people, he wouldn't be bombing the shit out of them. People will kill each other over gold, oil, water, and land just as easily as they will over religion and ethnicity. They'll use ethnicity to justify land and mineral grabs too.

I figured at some point the self preservation instinct would kick in, but you know since DC will be the first place to get nuked might as well let them.
Whoever's left can rebuild from the ashes

Although I do take some of his claims at face value, such as his view of Ukrainian people and Russian people being one people, I don't think his goal was complete annexation of Ukraine.
His objectives, at least from my perspective, seem to have been secure the separatist regions, destroy Azov, twist Zelensky's arm into a deal. Here's my Putin-English translation:
  • Stopping the genocide (stopping the shelling and restore water access to Donbass)
  • Denazifying Ukraine (get revenge on the fuckers who dared fight the separatists)
  • Demilitarizarion and assurance of neutrality (Ukraine stops gearing up and doesn't join NATO, remains a buffer)
The reason the operations are not limited to Donbass was because Ukraine resisted. The plan seemed to have been securing an air bridge to Hostomel and deploy troops directly outside Kiev rather than have to convoy his way into the capital. This could have lead to a quick capitulation but since the landing strip was damaged in the fighting, now Russia needs to encircle cities and shell them into submission to put the pressure on and continue to make the demands.

Depends on if they get creative or not. There's no way we could patrol the whole northern sea border of Russia, even if they decided to sit back and take a hypothetical blockade.

If I'm not mistaken Crimea, St. Petersburg and Vladivostok are the main accesses.
Although Russia is huge, they don't have many warm water ports.

I know Russia has some small ports up there, but no way they're moving their entire shipping network to run out of fuckin Murmansk lickety split. The point is to prevent Russia from moving stuff out of the country, not to just generally be around their entire coast.

I know you guys are slightly stupid, so allow me to explain. The Swastika was a common, or at least utilized symbol before those bad guys in Germany took it over. Which is why most stopped using it, including the 45th. The Fins even used it after the war, which I'm sure means they're on your list too, fag.
You showed me a swastika as if it proved something, I'm just returning the favor, tard.
