The licking they took in 2010 was helped along by Clintonites kicking Blue Dog Dems to the curb as they were the biggest threat to Queen Hillary. The leadership was the few people remaining that still had Clintonite favor.Pelosi's time as the House Democrat leader goes back to 2005 and she got the Speaker job, with Hoyer as Majority Leader and Clyburn as Majority Whip in 2007. What I was getting at was that instead of looking at the licking they took in 2010 and making changes, the party brought all three back to head the 2019 Congress, because until the "unironically too old to be Baby Boomers, for chrissakes" leadership dies in office they refuse to relinquish control of their party.
The Uniparty losers would also be bolstered by the unelected bureaucrats, so any populists that want to change anything have to do the unthinkable: they have to purge those departments. Fauci's what those barnacles strive to be, not a bad apple in the bunch, and they all run areas that are vital to American life without being at all accountable to the American public. Ideally they'd strive to benefit the people, but when the DOT does nothing to help supply chain issues, the Department Of Energy does nothing to promote energy independence and actively vilifies nuclear power, the Department of Education promotes dangerous ideologies in schools that destroy the minds of children, and the Department of Justice nakedly promotes political prosecution something has to change. As I understand it, the GOP would shatter into their own civil war - once the playing field becomes "Uniparty losers" vs "Trumpian Populists" there'd be nothing left to do but fight that out. The uniparty would see itself as trying to slow things down and stabilize what would likely be a very pained country with the collapse of an organized left, and the populists would see it as an opportunity to push radical change.
It likely wouldn't be a good time for anyone involved. Political destabilizations like that never are, even if the collapsing group is objectively awful in its own rights.
Yeah, and as near as I can tell she's decided to make AOC her new successor, given the level of close control and contact she's demonstrated. Not the worst idea, and probably the best given her limited timeframe and self-inflicted lack of alternatives.Well in all fairness Pelosi had a successor but AOC primary him out of his seat.
Bwuh? The 2010 licking was because Obama bailed out Wall Street and Detroit, the economic recovery was anemic, and he hadn't killed Bin Laden yet to get his crowning PR achievement. The licking they took in 2010 was helped along by Clintonites kicking Blue Dog Dems to the curb as they were the biggest threat to Queen Hillary. AOC is the second youngest Democrat whose well known enough with the first being Schumer whose in his 70s.Yeah, and as near as I can tell she's decided to make AOC her new successor, given the level of close control and contact she's demonstrated. AOC got the talk real early on how Congress works, and as far as toeing the line she's proven to be the only member of that Squad to play ball. No wonder she's the one Pelosi settled on.Yeah, and as near as I can tell she's decided to make AOC her new successor, given the level of close control and contact she's demonstrated. Funding was also cut on the DNC level for a lot of those seats lost, but I will admit I didn't care as much about politics back then.Bwuh? We had the Tea Party for all of Obama's first term, OWS didn't happen until after 2010. People weren't happy with his economic recovery plan in the slightest.
I thought she rather openly hated AOC. With AOC recently losing her status of cream of the crap -- the leader of the squad or whatever. Something about some exceptionally stupid political move that even the squad left AOC hanging on? Voting against Israel or something?Yeah, and as near as I can tell she's decided to make AOC her new successor, given the level of close control and contact she's demonstrated. Ahh, damn, didn't know that. That'd explain why the ground game shriveled up all of two years after it was massively huge for Obama.Funding was also cut on the DNC level for a lot of those seats lost, but I will admit I didn't care as much about politics back then.
Late 30's. She's actually the youngest squad member aside from AOC. Tlaib and Pressley are mid to late 40's.Beta O'Cuck I would say is pretty well-known at this point, but mostly because of his "hell yeah" quote. He's "youngish" at around 50. How old is Ilhan "Wincest" Omar?
That vote was Pelosi cracking the whip at AOC to vote for Israeli aid money, and doing Pelosi's bidding there permanently forced her out of the Squad.I thought she rather openly hated AOC. As long as the Second Amendment is important to Americans Beto will be sunk by this one clip.Beta O'Cuck I would say is pretty well-known at this point, but mostly because of his "hell yeah" quote. He's "youngish" at around 50. How old is Ilhan "Wincest" Omar?
Hillary Clinton wanted to make damn sure that there wasn't going to be another Barack Obama to fuck up her 2016 run. Why do you think Biden didn't try after Obama? He'd have had the star power.Ahh, damn, didn't know that. That'd explain why the ground game shriveled up all of two years after it was massively huge for Obama.
That was AOC signaling to Israel that she'd play ball when the rest of her squad wouldn't; unless she's ganked, she's taking the reins of the House when the drugs can't stop propping up the House Democratic leadership.I thought she rather openly hated AOC. They still refuse to say his name in public. You only ever hear of Trump referred to as "the last administration." He's still their Voldemort. No, they shifted gears from "OrangeManBad" to "PutinManBad."
I figured he was adhering to the usual "the party's told you to fuck off twice, stop trying" rule for running for the presidential nomination, and wasn't demented or controlled enough to flip on that quite yet.Hillary Clinton wanted to make damn sure that there wasn't going to be another Barack Obama to fuck up her 2016 run. Nah, Clinton was likely licking her wounds after 2016 - never forget, she actively pushed Trump for the GOP since she thought he'd fuck them over. Why do you think she's positioning herself for 2024? It's way harder to take out an incumbent Trump than a Trump that has been out of office for four years.I figured he was adhering to the usual "the party's told you to fuck off twice, stop trying" rule for running for the presidential nomination, and wasn't demented or controlled enough to flip on that quite yet.
I don't see the signs at all that she's seriously positioning herself for 2024. That sounds like a desperate media wishcasting. They may be on board for some more election season profiteering with the Foundation spinning up again, but she's stayed out of the spotlight for the most part and what noises they've been making look more like just desperate fundraising to keep their legacy from being completely blown up by Biden's incompetence.Nah, Clinton was likely licking her wounds after 2016 - never forget, she actively pushed Trump for the GOP since she thought he'd fuck them over. Oh, that's why Iran, Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, and Venezuela are ignoring our cries for help with our oil crisis!
Clinton Foundation wouldn't be gearing up otherwise, and she smells blood in the water.I don't see the signs at all that she's seriously positioning herself for 2024.
