Can you fucking imagine dealing with this shit? Victoria claims being moved to a CT scanner somehow injured her and now she's having some kind of left sided stiff attacks and can't walk, alongside "other issues". She forces multiple nurses to drag her to the bathroom. Doctor told her it was "in her head" and now she's throwing a shit fit because they are trying to discharge her.

I don't even know what she's claiming. Stiff person syndrome isn't usually one sided. I'm guessing she's cosplaying dystonia and aiming for some claims of TBI or stroke caused by neglect? she appears to be trying to mimic facial involvement (forced mouth droop at one point), but in that video alone you see voluntary movement of the entire left face. If someone knows her web of lies better, please share what absurdity this is trying to mimic?

She's really low iq if you ever read her old blog. Too dumb to research things enough to accurately portray them.

So personal story that I may have mentioned before, but I was just laughing thinking about it...

I was at a festival and some random girl asked to camp next to us and basically invited herself into our group. She was obnoxious from the first minute but we didn't want to be rude, and figured she'd fuck off once she made some other friends.

Almost immediately she started talking about having such bad scoliosis that her pain is just a 100 out of 10 all the time.

Now we all thought it was funny for this super disabled girl to be okay enough to be blasted, high and sleeping on the ground (she didn't even bring an air mattress) for days but whatever.

Anyway, she wouldn't stop talking about scoliosis. She turned every topic into a story about how much she suffered. If you told her the sky was blue, she'd probably find a way to relate that to her scoliosis too.

Eventually everyone started ignoring her. Like straight up interrupting her when she brought it up.

The lack of attention must have killed her because when we were making the short walk from the stage to our camp, she DROPS to the ground and starts shrieking "MY SCOLIOSIS!!!! AHHH MY SCOLIOSIS"

The whole group literally stepped over her and kept walking, leaving her there to roll around. When she realized no one cared, she quickly got up and scuttled away.

It was hilarious and to this day, we still scream "MY SCOLIOSIS!!" as a dramatic joke

Didn't see it mentioned I don't think, and not sure if it's elsewhere on the site, but today I stumbled upon the fact that Jenelle from Teen Mom has been munching it up lately and it seems pretty funny. I can do a quick write up later if anyone's interested (forgive me if this is old news/ she's around somewhere else)

Dear lord I thought this would be a quick thing but apparently she's been a mess for a while, I will work on a brief recap because it's very funny but in true munch fashion she is out of control so it's a lot.

I had to go watch her tik tok account of the ct scan, and as soon as the video restarted the second time it made it really clear that she started the video with this feigned roughness like she’s in such bad shape, but is back to normal voice by the end, as telling the story animates her.

Or the later one she whines about pain meds and talks perfectly normally until she mentions 'speech difficulties' and her voice breaks for all of 2 seconds and normalized. Never watched much of this idiot before, but I give those doctors and nurses all the credit in the world for just tolerating this kind of behavior.

On her Facebook someone suggested PT, and she claims they let her fall and were cruel, an excuse to not even try. Oh to be a fly on the wall and watch those therapists see her move normally then decide to flop with her 'tightness". Now she's decided to be yet another wheelchair cosplay specialist. These munchies can't grasp that truly disabled people want to retain mobility, they don't just decide they can't walk for laughs and they won't improve because it's too harddddddd and people are meannnn. It's the easiest way to spot them, the complete lack of interest in improvement in any form.

Hell, at this point she's pretending she didn't even get an attempted DX at the hospital, and they just shrugged. As if she didn't get a gamut if tests coming back normal after a procedure. She'd get the full run of tests (including this horrible mutilating CT) just to cover their own asses. And she did give away that she was given a fucking diagnosis.... a psych one (probably conversion disorder, which comes across softer than "cluster B hysterics"). Never good enough for a munch, of course, the greatest ableists in history who never quite want to accept the real issue might be psych.

Forgive me my ranting sins.

Victoria is one of my favorite munchies. I thought she was limiting her dramatic munching to just social media, so it's always a treat when they move it into IRL and get slapped down by doctors for it.

Doctors are usually very discreet about telling a patient that 'it's all in their head'. They're also usually pretty discreet about bringing in a psych consult - they know they open themselves up to all kinds of lawsuits if they make that decision and it turns out to be wrong.

She must be a tremendously bad faker for the doctors to be so blunt.

Apparently tumblr is going strong with "transabled" lately. A lot of it is probably trolls/teenagers, and thankfully while going through the tags for it I mostly saw people who were against the idea.

But what is this whole transabled thing anyway?

Oh. Okay then.

I did find some pretty funny shit; it's mostly pride flags for made-up munchie identities, like using a wheelchair because it causes euphoria (???) or surviving decapitation which will be totally possible in the transhuman future.

No honey, that's what being a munchie is like. Having a chronic illness is like being sick for a long time and learning to deal with it.

Hello again. I found a picrew that has no reason to exist - well except for Muchies.

The walker and cane designs make me irrationally angry, no matter what designs are on them or how many fake flowers it’s still a walker or cane. It being “cute” makes no difference if you have to use it no matter what.

I can understand little old ladies that want a pretty walker because that’s one thing, but the whole DIY your mobility aid into a eye bleed princess fantasy is fucking dumb.

This is just wild at this point. These people are blatantly revealing their hand with this game. Disability ≠ identity ffs.

Where some of this seems to try to go but fails: Sometimes there are scientifically undiscovered illnesses, but that's not just throwing a tantrum because the personal doctor won't write what you want in your chart. You get wastebin diagnoses (fibromyalgia, etc) and have your symptoms treated as they can. Most doctors realize there's something real going on, even if they don't have the answer, and adapt. Yes, there are always assholes in every profession, but most docs realize science and medicine is imperfect and evolving. Psych IS sometimes the answer, as hyperchondriosis and somatic illness exists, though munchies deny both of these (and don't experience it either, but that's another discussion). Some docs will honestly say they can't help, but no (Victoria) they don't get scared of complex cases and hide, insult, and lie to you.

Using this terminology as a metaphor just literally claims being born into a healthy body but feeling they should be sick to fill an emotional need. That's the definition of facticious disorder. It's frankly insulting to compare to gender dysphoria, as being sick is not an identity. That's what real ableism is, defining a person by their disability, making their overuse of that term more ironically hilarious. Disabled people don't feel they should be sick, they try to get better. They adapt and live their lives.

I wanna see munchies react to these and try to not offend trannies while saying how their real and honest struggles can't be made fun like this.

I feel like munchies go wheelchair jockey for two reasons (and sometimes both):

1) So they can be performatively sick in public.
2) So that they can claim a higher level of dependence and can be taken care of by a carer more intensely.

That's just a observation, take it with a grain of salt. I just know people with actual chronic conditions want desperately to retain the highest level of independence possible, and it's really only munchies or OTT people who are willing to give that up and often even the OTT people won't fully commit because it's really inconvenient to use a wheelchair.

In this century, who uses the term “commode” - aside from Victoria, senior citizens, and maybe people in the plumbing biz? Sincere question, the last time I heard “commode” used was 20 years ago - by a sr citizen! But maybe it’s a regional thing?

Anyways, certainly appreciate the dump. It may be easier to read, going forward, to spoiler some of the images (esp. for us mobilefags). Just a thought, thanks again!

A Victoria dump for your troubles. Spot how many lies and you’ll win a prize!!

It's extremely standard hospital talk for the portable bedside potties. They're used for people who can't quickly transport to the toilet i.e. 50% of adult inpatients.

Which is weird, because in theory mobility aids are supposed to give the person more independence. No, it isn't always convenient, but if a cane/walker/wheelchair/etc is the difference between staying home constantly or living your life then the choice seems obvious.

This is one of the biggest tells of a munchie for me; they could have all the mobility aids, tubes, and treatments available in the world but they never get any better. You'd think that their symptoms would improve, maybe even just a little bit. But munchies only ever get sicker and sicker, no matter what.
