This couldnt have played better for the Russians. Not only did the volunteers embarrass themselves and the whole thing failed from a military perspective. But now they are badmouthing Ukraine for not treating them as SOF but instead as militia.

from what I have hearing, the Russians have been recruiting Syrian fighters and are about to get aide from China which is a lot better than recruiting weekend warriors from Reddit and Facebook whose only military experience is Airsoft and Call of Duty.
