Alright now I REALLY want the Odessa to be a complete shitshow for the Russians, if they are saving all their Neptunes who knows, maybe all the transports will get hit and sink before they can even land on the beach. If that (admittedly unlikely) event does occur, @MindYourSeabiscuits will probably never be seen on this thread again. :story: I'll admit, the Russians MAY pull it off, but the odds aren't in their favor, while he seems to think that as soon as the Ukrainians there see the transports, they'll lay down their weapons and beg for mercy.
Odessa has a population of nine hundred thousand, the one they've got pinned has four hundred odd thousand, give or take the ones flattened or let out via the buses. Now, just imagine the amount of slavs with AKs waiting at the beaches for these poor buggers. Even if they shell it, that's door to door in a massive city and it's closer to western aid and weapons coming in than the rest of the fronts, discounting Kyiv, I really don't like the landing lots chances. Hope someone catches it all on video at least. Be funnier still if they managed to slap another of the ships.

The propaganda of Russia losing, isn't this a bit defeatist?

"Please help us, we're about to win the war!"
On the plus side, it probably draws in redditors who think they'll just be riding the winning wave without lifting a finger.

Afaik all the Ukraine war subreddits paint it as a one-way steamroll for the Ukraine, anything contrary gets deleted, with a few exceptions specifically about the missile strikes in r/volunteersForUkraine, they otherwise keep up the image that anyone going there essentially living a Far Cry game.

So when the CIA backs a coup that's legitimate and an expression of the Ukrainian people but when Putin backs breakway republics that's totally astroturfed and illegitimate. Don't the people of the Donbas have agency?
They did. But also look at the numbers. The separatist movement was fucking tiny and was going literally nowhere until Putin armed them. They also kicked millions of Ukranians out and pretty much shat on every bit of the Minsk accord as well.

And if we're talking numbers the most generous ones had maybe a third of the people in Dontesk who wanted to join Russia and not even a quarter of the people in Luhansk. Shit, even in Crimea, the numbers pre invasion were sitting at 41%, not good by any stretch... but sure as fuck not the 97% that Russia claimed 2 days after invasion. And wait, you say... maybe they wanted to secede but not join Russia, nope. The majority of them did NOT want secession at the time, either. And most of them were against the taking of the government buildings.

Didn't really matter though. This was a Putin plan and it was clear, and there is a shit ton more evidence than an out of context phone call, and McCain making a speech. One of the groups that took a government building was friggen lead by a former Russian agent who led the attack out of Crimea, which again had just been taken over by Russia.

So yeah, massive difference. If you don't want to admit it, that's on you.

Only a dumbass would believe that Russians aren't shelling the shit of everything they can get to, for sure. It's not a steamroll for either party.

Russia has gone in soft, if you think this is the full extent of the Russian Armed Forces, you're even more retarded then I originally thought.
Please....Russia expected and planned for another 2014 in Ukraine. Didn't happen. I don't call dropping VDV as going in soft. They wanted that airhead and fucked it up. Logistics sadly wanting. Your tanks should have supply trains of trucks coming fairly close behind. Guess not. Where are the vaunted "Armada" tanks, that should have crushed Ukrainian armor? All fifteen of them, since Russia apparently can't afford more? Your troops should have packaged operational rations that didn't expire years ago. Your troops should be told the truth about the operation, not lied to. Your bombers should be able to come right in over their targets instead of hiding over the Rodina lobbing cruise missiles. Air superiority should have happened in hours, and air supremacy in days. These brave Russian men and boys are paying the price for the rot and corruption permeating the Russian armed forces. Generals and colonels are getting waxed because they must go up front to ensure things happen. Could that be because junior and mid-grade officers have no flexibility in adapting to changes on the battlefield, and Russia has no noncommissioned officer corps worth mentioning?

Russia's only claim to military power these days is in the Strategic Rocket Forces, if they haven't fallen victim to corruption.

Russia may eke out a victory, but they have long since lost much more.

Threatening? No, I was just offering you a good time. I thought that some nice rogering will calm you down instead of you going like "IF YOU DISLIKE RUSSIANS SO MUCH WHY DON'T YOU GO DIE ON THE BATTLEFIELD???"

Like bruh, what? Does that mean that if I dislike faeces and people who eat them, I must drink piss instead to prove them wrong?
Look I know you are an Ukrainian and have like an 80 IQ but just try to follow my logic here. You hate the Russians and hate that they are invading your country. You are a man of fighting age. Logically it would follow that you should go do your part to stop them if you aren't a pussy. It's okay if you're a pussy bro.

One thing this whole cluster fuck has shown is that the proxy wars of Vietnam, Korea, Angola, and the others, are a whole different ball game now.

Raytheon and the others should be cumming all over the place at the thought that now they can just export fucking everything to these places and let them duke it out.

Imagine Rwanda only with state of the art shit.

You'd see videos of dudes being shot point blank in the face with a fucking Javelin.

People in the Donbas have been voting for closer ties with Russia, making the Russian language an official language of Ukraine and making it the official administrative language of Lugansk and Donetsk since the mid 90's. 90% of the people voted for those proposals then and they were ignored.

Why would you do that? Nothing like hubris and a gross underestimation of the enemy to lead one to an untimely death.

And going by your apparent desire for auld mother Russia to be number one, you ought to sign up, if they're willing to Arab goat fuckers, I'm sure they'd be happy to have a wee mascot tag along. Might want to bring your own food though, those rations don't look all that appealing being seven years out of date.

Russia wants to take the country intact, not Fallujah the poor bastards into the Neolithic like certain other countries might do.

That ship was taken out by sighted MLRS apparently, they didn't even use a Neptune for that, and yeah one of those transports will be slapped most likely. The Neptune is a brand new missile so it's not some outdated cold war tech, and I'll be surprised if the West haven't slipped them a few anti ship missiles themselves.

There's a big difference between someone observing the war from 1000's of miles away and somebody who is having their country invaded. This really isn't hard to understand. I think it's a fair point to criticize someone who hates the Russians so much for invading his country but won't defend it. If I remember correctly two weeks ago he was talking about how he was leaving the city to avoid being put into the armed forces.

Oh, not only that, I'm actually from Lugansk oblast originally, I had to flee during 2014, when your Motorolas and Givis flooded to "protect" me and ensure my right to go to "подвал" for daring to be against this.
What do you say now, faggot?

Russia wants to take the country intact
Kharkiv didn't get the memo.
