I read the rrat that Moona was planning on leaving COVER and streaming independant like kson, that is why she is having this little twitch streams. Maybe that is what the Cover statement is actually about. It is a dumb rrat since Moona wants to sing so much and not being in Hololive would kill her audience since no one really cares about Indonesia.

That was essentially my read of the situation as well. It all gets tiring when people conflate 'Being mean but correct' with being essentially wrong simply because they were mean. Whatever Saruei did in the past is just being used as a means to pile on her simply because she was a little abrasive to some people who wouldn't just shut up and leave her/her mods alone.

Ame has connections and a reach Cover does not. It's also not really on their priority list to set up karaoke simulcasting, while Ame knows how important it is for the EN girls who are spread all over the place.

Bear in mind Cover really didn't need to concern itself with this for the longest time since the girls would just borrow their in office studio for stuff and lived close enough together that it wouldn't be much of a problem to meet in person. Even ID didn't have this problem at the beginning due to a shared dorm. Once you got EN and their girls scattered to the four winds and only two of them maintaining residence in Japan, it became a priority for that branch alone...but I'm pretty sure management has bigger fish to fry.

I don't think they have any ownership over the character and name. The designs themselves were all done by one in-house person and are likely designed to be throwaways they can keep producing when new students come in.

For reference, here is a side-by-side from VTA to Nijisanji.

They are also under no obligation to accept an offer into Nijisanji at the end of their term if they don't want to.

It's worth keeping in mind, though, that it's entirely possible (in fact, probable) that these 3 aren't the last of the graduates. People who kept up to date with VTA would instantly notice the omission of Kaburaki Roco; the top performer in terms of viewership and someone I would personally compare to Momosuzu Nene in terms of her demeanour and dorkiness. The fact that she isn't here certainly hints towards a second wave at some point in the future.

Yeah. It takes time before my posts get the clear. Been lurking a long time though and forgot the details of my previous account which I only used once. oh well...

Based on Nijis track record, another wave really is likely.
I wonder if they have plans to do a VTA for EN. And if they'd ever teach them that twitter drama isn't supposed to be considered content.

I'm interested to see if how Calli would do on this one. She was so hyper and enjoyed moving her model during the 1st Anniversary and halloween VR collabs.
Also curious to see if they would actually get something done or just end up screwing around (which I would prefer tbh)

Opening up an EN branch would, on paper, be a fantastic idea.

I think this is something Cover should also consider, if for no other reason than because it offers future recruits a safety net of having no past life that can be dug up and weaponised. VTA is an inherently positive concept for basically everyone involved and the industry as a whole.

Logistically, though, I think an EN branch might be a bit too much for now. VTA students did most of their work at the main Nijisanji studio, and were personally supervised by staff in case things went wrong. Lessons were also presumably done in person at the same time.

With all the different timezones needing to be scheduled for EN, and the lessons having to be through Slack or whatever, it might be difficult to actually pull off. On top of that, they'd need different staff to the JP ones and that'd cost extra. It's less feasible.

I doubt moona will leaving COVER soon, still a lot of things she wants to do as Hololive member. She doing that for side content like cover or karaoke that she can't do as Hololive member.

@The One And Only SALTE replying doesn't work for some reason, but I wanted to reply to this:
Calli's eyes dart all over the place because her setup is disorganized as fuck. She has 3 monitors and they all have different things on them so she can never really find what she's looking for. As for her jerky movements, it could just be that she can't really control herself when she starts laughing. Not much you can do about that. Proper posture and etiquette is something you have to worry about more when you have tracking software running, and it's something that I'm constantly tweaking so my eyes don't close if I so much as look down.

Most people here probably know that I'm a vtuber at this point, been going at it since October 2020. One of the things that is constantly on my mind is how to manipulate the model in a way that is fun for the viewers and easy for me. Calli really doesn't do much, if anything...and neither do the rest of them, honestly.

First of all I think that's totally unfair to the other EN1 members. My point wasn't about props really, I'm talking about the way the other members use their model to convey personality in more subtle ways. Like the things you point out about your eyes and tweaking it. Maybe it comes natural to the others at this point but Calli has never bothered even trying.

If her setup causes the problems with the eyes, then why does she not change the setup? That's my whole point, she doesn't seem to care about the medium at all and it frankly feels insulting. Imagine an actor in a play appearing on stage in street clothes instead of the expected costume. He plays the part, says the lines but everyone would agree it's not the full theater experience and the actor would certainly be accused of not taking it seriously.

Now I know her fans are not bothered and watch for other reasons but that's why I say she should just be a normal streamer and not a VTuber. If that's doomposting so be it, at this point the posting about doomposting has filled up more of this thread than the actual doomposting.
