Vtubing as it is now is in a odd place in terms of public perception. Half of various content creators are for it and typically interact and try to be on friendly terms with various Vtubers while another half of content creators aren't accepting and it's either due to some dumb principle or belief like "Loli bad", thinking it's cringe cause anime, or having some weird outdated internet ideas that their not woman and just trying to deceive you/it's a ugly person just catfishing people.

One half seeks to leech off of the popularity of Vtubers, the other half is afraid of it. Vtubers have always been in this wierd place, and it seems like you either love them or you hate them, i do agree it's a lot easier to get into vtubers if you are already into japanese culture.

Just to put this 7.3 earthquake in perspective, the 2011 Fukushima earthquake was a 9.1 magnitude with a 46-foot tsunami. That's a 'once in a few centuries' kind of disaster. That coastline is fucking cursed.

Anyone keeping track of who has said they are okay? So far I've only seen a few speak out on Twitter.

Keep in mind that earthquake magnitudes are exponential, so a 9 is much much worse than a 7.

Yugo cancelled as he lives in Japan and was seemingly affected by it.

I'm not sure if he cancelled his POV or if he's just not turning up. Given that he also cancelled his karaoke for tomorrow (his voice is shot after the Zatsudan) it's been a bit tumultuous for him to say the least.

I was really looking forward to both streams so I'm a little disappointed, but two earthquakes are completely out of his hands so I understand.

My take is that the editor person *maybe* has a grievance with some glibness, but her qualifications were an editor familiar with her streams/community, which he wasn't so regardless of skill, it was not what she was looking for.

With the discord mod/artist, it was not a "You totally traced" it was "Hey, this artwork has these red flags which can suggest tracing, so this might be the reason" along with the artist accusing the mod of saying they disrespected Saruei character, when he was clearly talking about the other artist that the artist brought up as an example.

That and the fact there is serious traction picking up about said mod calling a turbo sperg a retard when he's acting like a retard and writes a 7 page google doc about it leads me to believe that aside from any of her previous escapades, she's 100% in the right through all this, sans backing down, and the people going on about it are loathsome faggots who are a fucking cancer in any online space they inhabit.

Often its not what you say but how you say it (which is hard as hell to convey in text form, and even harder when it comes from someone that doesnt have english as a 1st language). Also she is a popular Vtuber so you can expect every 5 follower twat trying to hop in on the drama to get their 2 minutes of fame.

Maybe she just wants a second source of income? She's a college student living on her own. Even if she is in HL, she may still need more money.
