I don't know if OP wants to edit this in the post or not, I'm still new to reddit and have no idea how to work it aside from reporting someone threatening to hang myself...

At this point I'm pretty much done. I've been streaming since my time as Mel Nekomata which was a year ago now and I put hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into streams only to have that all taken away due to this situation.

To make it worse 4chan and kiwifarms and harassing me even harder now and at this point I'm just slowly starting to realize that I will never get into NIJISANJI even though I've auditioned 4 times and I will never make it as an indie VTuber because trying to make it as an indie VTuber requires a lot of luck.

I thank everyone for the kind words and offers but honestly I think I should just give up content creation forever. I've been working so hard and dealing with shit in my personal life just to be faced with all this harassment. The worst part is that I have to deal with this harassment in private. I don't get the levels of exposure that other VTubers like Vshojo does so I have to suffer in silence and that's what brings me down the most.

I'll think over the decision for a few days but honestly without a model I can't make content. I know it sounds stupid but being a VTuber is an extension of myself and I want to work on building my own brand now that mine has been taken from me. In this state I can't stream without a model and I don't have the funds to purchase a new one since I just got out of debt and just paid off some college tuition.

I know people tell me to keep trying or that someday it'll pay off but at this point I truly believe hard work never pays off. It doesn't matter how happy being a VTuber makes it, it doesn't matter how passionate I am about content creation, it doesn't matter how much work and hours I put into what I do, it won't pay off and that's the sad reality.

First off, is anyone from here harassing you personally? Like, is there someone going "hey, I'm from Kiwi Farms, and you should die" in your DMs or something like that? If so, please name and shame them, because we really don't like that shit. Nobody speaks for and represents the Farms as a whole outside of the Farms, except for maybe the owner (and many of us don't entirely agree with him on everything either), and we tend to frown on people going after other people and communities in our name.

If you are just taking what's being discussed publicly in this thread as harassment… Well, it might hurt, but please understand that if you're going to put yourself out there as an entertainer, as vtubers do, you're going to invite criticism, and sometimes that criticism will be caustic. If you're going to continue down this path of being a vtuber or any other sort of content creator, you're going to have more criticism in the future. And if you can't just ignore it or let it roll off you, you're not going to be very successful.

Yes, more popular streamers in Vshojo will be getting more criticism. Especially in this thread. But you don't see them throwing pity-party streams and crying on social media in the face of this criticism, do you? (At least, not very often.) In fact, what was a topic of conversation in this thread shortly before your blow-up was Zen getting salty and ending an Elden Ring stream because she didn't like the criticism she was getting from chat. A performer taking criticism badly is only going to invite criticism.

So what are you going to do? Do you want to give up? Okay, there's the door. Don't let it hit you where the Good Lord split you.

Or are you going to dust yourself off and try again? You're a vtuber without a model now. Okay. You still got farther than all those vtweeters out there. You could see this as a temporary setback instead of the career-ending life-ruination event you've taken it as so far. You can't buy a new model right now? Okay, fine. Be a pngtuber for a while, or use one of those stock models like Flamenco does (and pulls 300-400 people a stream with). But keep your presence out there and let people get to know you and your voice while you save up for a new model. Then pick a date and spend a week or two hyping up your "redebut." Post silhouettes or ultra-zoomed-in pictures of the model on your socials to build anticipation. Play up how you made a foolish purchase of your last model and then spilled your spaghetti, but you're gonna work your ass off to bring your old fans back and turn your haters into new fans. Then, on the big day, reveal it bit-by-bit like how the big corpo streamers reveal their new outfits. This could be an opportunity you could totally profit from if you looked at it as an opportunity rather than the end of the fucking world.

But most importantly, learn to live with criticism. If the Farms and 4chan are upsetting you, stop visiting them. If someone is trolling your chat or something, make fun of them right back, or just ignore them. Think of your oshis and consider what they would do if they saw some criticism that upset them. (The answer is most certainly not "lash out on socials" or "mope on stream," and that's how they got big enough to be noticed by you and become your oshi.)

Your life isn't over. Your vtuber dreams aren't over. You can save this. You just need to tweak your attitude a bit.

(Really, you need to pick a different name than "Ames," though.)

I hate myself but I got nothing better to do.

1. Is she actually retarded? She engages with the people and then calls it harassment when they engage back?

2. No shit she will never get to join Nijisanji. At least not with the dumb shit she seems to be pulling off. "Hey guys I have a dream of joining a company but I will do everything in my power so that the company doesn't hire me." Her whole schtick is farting into a mic, who the fuck in their right mind would think "Hey see this farting/burping girl? Yeah, let's fucking hire her."

3. As for the whole model thing, cant she go back to her old one? At least until she sorts shit out and actually commissions a new one? I take it she rebranded but what the fuck is the point of rebranding if you are going to just switch avatars and then do the same shit you have been doing with the old one? Yes making it as an indie requires luck but again who the fuck in their right mind would want to collab with the vtuber girl that burps and farts into a mic? She is literally the fat stinky kid in elementary school that everyone hates because they are disgusting.

4. Everyone suffers in silence doesn't matter how big or how small they are as a content creator. Everyone has to deal with real-life shit. Hell sit down and listen to Pippa the few times she breaks character and talks about how she's really happy to have an audience to talk to. How she put in hundreds, possibly thousands of hours into content creation until she got to where she is. Hell, look at Kiara or Calli and all of the work they had to put to get to the point where they finally got a big break.

5. Bitching and moaning expecting to get pats on the back from the Reddit hugbox won't solve the problem. Worst case scenario she can just become a PNG-tuber. Hell, maybe this whole model thing is a blessing in disguise. She can take some time off, rebrand work on a new character, work on producing valuable content that a company can look at, and say, "holy shit, there is something here, it's rough but we can polish it".

Its funny how people believe that just by streaming every day you can become famous. A cool/cute model can help you get a bunch of eyes on you but if they dont have something to offer (other than farting and burping into a mic), everyone will move on and not subscribe or watch. Look at Artemis.





Edit: Searched for Mel Nekomata and this is one of the first things that popped up. I wonder why Niji won't ever hire her.

Adding to this because it's some pretty interesting/disgusting Pippa lore, probably some overlap
  • Never peed in bottles, mostly out of fear from her parents barring her from her internet
  • "I had the full fucking mold collection" her words regarding moldy dishes in her room
  • Discussed different types of mold that would grow from various foods, steak, pasta, etc.
  • Claims she's not like this anymore and cleans stuff now
  • Would only clean when the mold got so bad the coughing and nose burning from it would keep her from sleeping
  • Never had a physical or a checkup
  • Had a UTI once, received amoxicillin for it, from then on anytime she thought she had a UTI she would use Fish Mox, which yes, is amoxicillin for fish.
  • Started self harming, mother took her to the doctor, told her she had depression and to become a vegetarian, she did not become a vegetarian
  • Last showered two days ago, used to go months without showering, wouldn't shower until her scalp started itching unbearably
  • When her bed sheets got too dirty she would throw it on the floor and fold a blanket in half and use it like a burrito
  • When her pillows got too dirty she would lay part of the blanket over them, so you end up only have to wash the blanket and nothing else

Every one of those words was constructed with the intention of gathering money/pity.

She does not believe in what she is saying. She came here, scrolled for a while, and claimed it was boring. Then on reddit she said we were harassing her and she couldn't take it. She tweets that she wants to be left alone, shortly before/after livestreaming.

What happened to her previous models? Fuck knows. Why can't she use a free model? Fuck knows. Does she really regret her past? Does she genuinely want to create content? She says that it's all about luck, but she isn't willing to try her chances. She says that she just paid off her debt, so she can't get a new model - which implies she got her previous one while in debt? I'm sure she'll have a story to explain that away.

Right at the end of her long comment, she purposefully mentions money. In another comment she also mentions money. That's what matters to her at the end of the day, that's the purpose of generating pity. She is, more or less, a VTuber-flavoured beggar.
