right now propagandized westerners are unironically plastering more ukraine flags everywhere than actual ukrainians so this might actually be believable lmao
Americans always massively fag it up about flags. I think in most countries people really could give less than two shits.

‘The strong do what they can, the weak suffer what they must.’

Also, Christ Above, you people and your genocide, what was the ethnicity of the man who made that call? I wonder how many Ethnic Russians he'd killed as well. Perhaps he was a man who didn't feel much kinship with Eastern Slavs. I'm sure Putin wants to genocide the Ukrainians, that's why he's having all of them shot, right?
this line of argument could be reasonable in theory
but then in reality you have a big chunk of russians who still venerate stalin and the ussr to this day
and when you have russian tanks flying old soviet flags for shits and gigles as they're rolling into ukraine, that argument becomes a very hard sell

It's because it's worked exactly two times in regards to sanctions, and even then it took decades, and that was in combination with extensive bush wars. Even then in the end the governments themselves chose to change. However given how Rhodesia/Zimbabwe and South Africa have turned out, I'm not sure it's the best endorsement of the strategy.
That shit hasn't worked on an island of spergy latins ninety miles away for nearly 70 years. All we get out of it are either the worst criminals from Cuban jails, dainty queers or grifters on the take. And they all vote Republican as revenge for no Bay of Pigs II: The Legend of Castro's Gold.

The US and other countries may claim there is, but it has never been adjudicated, because any country making a claim the Geneva Conventions don't apply to "special forces" ladies would, of course, have been caught committing war crimes.
There's no such thing as war crimes if you win.

Right, but show me where Putin or Russian leadership is calling for the genocide of Ukrainians. I don't give a shit about Ukrainians crying about it, I want actual proof that the Russians would genocide them, not that some Georgian did in the past.

Russians look back on the soviet union the same way Americans look back on 1950s alot of it is nostalgia for a time they where on top of the world.

Wow, you really know nothing about how laws are interpreted do you? The fact there isn't a "special forces exception" baked into the 3rd Geneva Convention has nothing whatever to do with how the Convention is interpreted under international law. Nothing of what I said mandates a special section of the Convention be devoted specifically to covering that situation, or when surrendering to planes for that matter. It is a deduction made based on the existing literature.

Dunning-Kreuger in full effect over here.
Usually the first person to bring Dunning-Kruger into an argument is the one who overestimates his competence. This is known as the Dunning-Kruger Effect Effect.

autism lmao
they didn't publicly announce it in advance the last time either, how is the absence of official announcement supposed to convince anybody now

Saw someone post this gem.

Telegram Russians were speculating that the missile was an answer to Ukros hitting the Kherson airfield the night before. If we get more guys getting explosively denazified in their sleep, it's definitely an escalation.
That wasn't the first time they hit Kherson airfield and Mykolaiv has been a thorn in their side for weeks.

What I think this is is a move to try to disrupt the Ukrainian push towards Kherson that is happening right now. I'm guessing they were able to sniff out where their command was through increased radio traffic. The Russians are in serious trouble of having the spearhead that was pushing towards Voznesensk cut off if they can't put a stop to this quickly.

Not to mention that everyone in government from the president down to the city dog catcher is going to sent to gulag for reeducation to "denazify" the country. They have absolutely no incentive not to fight. The government. The army. The public services. Everybody is going to get purged and they know it.
Not to mention Ukraine has been dealing with these fuckers for EIGHT YEARS NOW!

This isn't 2014 where Russia took them by surprise and stole their fossil fuels as they wentWTF is up with these green shitheads?

That pinned tweet though.

Russians being Russians. I wonder what Call of Duty is called in Russia. "Conscript Training" probably.
View attachment 3084817

Funny enough the training level in Call of Duty 2 involved shooting helmets off a wooden pole and Call of Duty 5 World at War involved fighting a sniper and using that trick of helmet on a gun by Reznov and the Kraut on the other side.

I also decided to replay the Russian invasion levels from Modern Warfare 2 and realized the Russians use Javelins against American armor. The invasion is listed as 2016 so they were 6 years off on Russian soldiers using Javelins as I am sure, they going to reverse engineer that now.
