“That’s the only way I know to survive” = “I’m unemployable in any other field.”
Now now, we do know that Billy is an experienced sex worker. He also told us that sex work is honest work. So it's not the only way he knows how to survive, and by his own words giving handy j's behind Bjork's Lutefisk Emporium is as respectable as drawing comics.

In the Poutine comments, someone recommended a French book with a trans kid

Camille was born a girl in a boy's body. Harassed, she moves and arrives in France with all her family.

As she makes an excellent friend, Zoe, she quickly plans to confide her secret to her. But will it be safe?

A large-format album that deals with gender through the portrait of a young girl who has enough courage and will to assert herself as she feels and not according to the attributes of her body.

The story describes a family that is loving, respectful and attentive to their child and a friend who goes beyond her own interests for Camille's well-being.

This rather idyllic straitjacket, heightened by the music they share, is tempered by past suffering and by the danger that seems to await the young girl.

The question of transidentity is treated positively because the heroine is certain of her identity and well surrounded. She is somewhat trivialized because Camille is above all looking for a friend with whom to discuss, play and confide, like all the other girls.

The images are pretty and favor the looks between the characters. The theme of the secret is finely brought and its nature could have been different.

A book that allows us to overcome stereotypes and helps to fight against discrimination thanks to a moving and endearing heroine.

I guess the other way he knows how to survive is to not look in a mirror when trying to draw himself.

I can only hope that it's just he can only draw a couple of faces so he HAS to use that.
I think the sadder truth is that his internalized self-image is that fantasy -- that he actually thinks that is how he is presenting to the world

Maybe these "threats" are threats to that delusional image so he sees them as "death threats" to that pretend self

Holy hell, what are these expressions?
Bored sadness?
Tired confusion?
Passive disgust?
Apathetic anxiety?
Yeah Billy, I'm sure that thousands of completely unhinged Drumpf lunatics are so outraged by you being alive that they're coming on the website for your shitty comic that only appeals to trannies just to send you death threats. Billy would never exaggerate or lie for sympathy, now would he?

IIRC, what number language English was changes quite often too, as does exactly what language he learned before English (I could swear Latin was one of them... no, not Spanish, LATIN, a language deader than fucking Gaelic).

My question is, exactly what language did he learn between the two that make up his country's (and mine, for that matter) official languages.

I should also add too that he greatly overestimates the amount of people who know French in Canada. Yes, there's Francophone communities and French Immersion schools here. But most people who learn in French Immersion never keep much of it since it's a garbage way of learning a language, and outside of those Francophone communities and half of Montreal/most of Quebec City, you'd be hard pressed to find many who do. Hell, I've been to Montreal several times and met several who don't even know a word of it.
Shit, people won't even let me speak French in Montreal and QC. They hear my English accent and switch to English.

But you're right, outside of quebec very few Canadians are fluent. We do French from kindergarten up until grade 8 (or sometimes all through high school) and never gain the ability to speak it because the classes are a joke. It's like 7 years of learning how to ask for the bathroom over and over

I held onto more of my High School Spanish, and I'm not even good at it. I'm sure I pretty much forgot most of my French after grade 6.

I like the "They make their profiles private and I can't do anything about it" angle is really funny, like just go to police if they're sending you death threats they'll probably figure it out.

Or are the police in on it too.
It reminds me of mothers who place their children in the woods and then call the news stations to report their "lost" children and how the police aren't doing anything (while adamantly refusing to call the cops).

The Quebec kid who 41% herself... From I gathered online, she talked about some subjects and in a manner that no kid her age should be speaking. I've seen some theories were the parents did more bad than good and contributed to her feeling confused.

This kind of shit, especially, will fuck up your kid. 4 years old don't have the cognitive ability to understand these subjects. Stop creating doubts in your kids.

Of course Sophie will monetize a "trans death". Garbage.

The only French I remember is the chorus to Moulin Rouge.

Handy in certain circumstances. Typically not very useful in every day interactions though

Do a believable strawman. Yes we believe that there are only males and females but we don't believe that you need be masculine to be a male or feminine to be a female. That's your territory because you believe that playing with dolls makes a boy a girl.
See, this is what pisses menoff. And I've sperged in another thread.

I believe inanimate objects should be gender neutral. I don't care if a dude wears a dress and makeup anymore than I care about a woman wearing pants and having short hair. You do you.

But they go to the opposite extreme and genderfy EVERYTHING. if they see a boy with a toy doll, they'll joke that his egg will one day crack. Like fuck off.

For people that scream "gender is a spectrum" they sure like to put it into neat little boxes

Why do they describe some bullshit as Egg moments. Its kinda annoying.
Because I'm sure there's some people who like being a male, why does doing something unconventional for their gender mean they're interested in being a woman.

Like buying a maid outfit or something.
