Honestly, I'm surprised Russia would have used the Hypersonic Missiles already. Using one of their secret weapon doesn't look like they're very confident of a quick victory. Now countries are going to be pushing for the development of their countermeasure even more
Not necessarily. It serves as a pretty good warning that they actually have the capability, and that their hypersonic weapons aren't just vaporware. Sometimes you use that stuff to send a message, in the case to NATO.

Yes. The communists were likely to win the 96 election so the IMF, Oligarchs, and US pumped Yeltsins campaign with millions of dollars violating Russian campaign finance laws. The Clinton Administration even sent over some of their electoral campaign people to help Yeltsins PR. Oligarchs did their thing as well to get him the votes needed.

If people want to understand how Putin came to power in the first place they need to understand the gangster capitalist hellhole that was the very late USSR and Yeltsin Russia.

Also interesting note, the Clinton Administration approved of Putin as Yeltsin's successor when Yeltsin privately talked with them.
Neocons descended upon Russia like living a embodiment of Le Happy Merchant meme, there's a clip in an Adam Curtis video of several talking about how much money they're going to steal make in Russia. Putin killed it and they've never forgiven him.

It's interesting to see support from Syria, Venezuela, and African countries for Russia after a billion dollars of debt from the oil trade that Russia has just "forgotten"
Ah yes, the unwavering support from the titans of world's industry and commerce - Syria, Venezuela and African countries. What influence they wield! If only we could get Zimbabwe on board, then we'd be unstoppable.

Except even fucking Zimbabwe denounced the invasion and joined in on the sanctions.

Please get this Reddit bullshit out of here. Dugin is a certified schizophrenic. Everybody keeps talking about MUH FOUNDATIONS OF GEOPOLITICS but neglects to mension his other book where he claims the world is ruled by immortal vampires who use numerology.
It is not about Dugin being crackpot. It is about his ideas being popular and finding root as a national geopolitical strategy. You would be hard pressed to deny that we haven't seen a drift in that direction since 1997.

I mean I get it (why he went for her, I mean), but for a guy with his own little cartoon empire you'd think he'd have screened the obvious gold diggers better.
Before they were married Scott Adams his net worth was estimated at 75 million $ and hers at 3 million $.
No idea how it's going to be divided. It's only 9 days ago that he announced the divorce.

Agreed. Sometimes, stupid ideas will be extremely dangerous if it becomes popular enough

This number actually seems closer to reality. A couple hours ago Ukraine claims to have captured 562 Russian POWs so far in the war. I'd imagine a few of these were wounded on the battlefield. If accurate, it'll be curious to see when they release photographic and video evidence.

Wasn't it rumored Catherine the Great bathed in baby blood to keep young? Or was it milk? I honestly don't get this tinfoil obsession with blood and vampires. Women doing wacky things to look young and attractive has been a thing forever (arsenic face powder, belladonna for anime eyes), trans *women* doing too should not surprise you.

by the end of all this we might find out this was all Putin's secretly vampiric masterplan and Dugin is the bastard who broke the rules of the Masquerade.

That's Elizabeth Bathory. Catherine the Great was the one that fucked a horse to death

Edit:
(Supposedly for both cases)

The Russians have also sent another message - they are so afraid of Ukrainian air defenses that their strategic bombers must stay over Russia and fire missiles, which don't pack the punch of a bomber's bomb load. Ukes get missiles that can reach into Russia, maybe some Bears and Blackjacks hit the ground.

That was pretty funny but I thought they actually got rid of their senile old fart Mugabe
Bobby Mugabe was kicked out (possibly with Chinese backing) and died shortly thereafter but Emerson Mnangagwa isn't much better. He invited some white Rhodie farmers back but other than that Zimbabwe hasn't changed all that much.

Putin made a bet in which win and loss are everything. But while ruthless, he is not stupid, and some would say even patriotic. It's interesting to see support from Syria, Venezuela, and African countries for Russia after a billion dollars of debt from the oil trade that Russia has just "forgotten", so it seems preparations were made for a big move. Will US hegemony be shaken by Putin? Or will his legacy be marked as just another traitor and plutocrat? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain: it will be interesting.
I can't help but think that everyone involved in this conflict is destined to lose.

Militarily: I think Russia will lose the war in the end, but it won't be an easy fight by any definition. Ukraine's military will still suffer a lot more in terms of losses. Don't think Crimea or Donbass is coming back under the fold.

In human costs: Russia and Ukraine were both suffering from horrible population trends before this war. For the Russians, a lot of their young men are going to die and Russia will soon begin to really feel a brain drain going on as intellectuals and such flee to the Caucasus and Central Asian countries. Chechens, Dagestanis and other Central Asians will continue to become a larger and larger portion of Russia's population. Ukraine is also losing a lot of young men, as well as just a lot of every demographic. Not to speak of the millions of people who have already fled Ukraine and might not return.

The US: Any geopolitical clout gained from bragging that we successfully saved Ukraine with Javelins will be offset by economic chaos. US financial dominance will continue fading away as we hurdle towards the return to the natural, multipolar state of affairs in the world. We were already doomed to being fucked by inflation and rising prices regardless of the war's outcome anyways. Oh, and if the US ends up feeling obligated to help Ukraine rebuild it's going to get even worse.

China: Well, okay, China is actually the only major player who isn't losing... but what's the fun in having to prop up Russia as a vassal state? Also, this 'total economic warfare' playbook is 100% making Xi ask himself if he needs to revise his Taiwan plans.

Yeah i mean when i look at pre-industrial history theres all sorts of occult behavior like that. Its even funnier now when science gets involved and some dude goes on stage to talk about it in scientific terms.

The real annoying thing is when is everyone going to realize Putin has been improving Russia's position ever since he took over? Not this Dugin trash talk.

It's about points of influence and not necessarily massive aid. I mean, Israel is a sliver of desert, and look how much money the US spends on it. The US even messed up the relationship with India by trying to be nice with Pakistan. About countries: Venezuela said "fuck off" to the US-appointed president "literally who," and then they begged for oil, which hurt their prestige. Syria, and more precisely, Assad, has a debt to pay and that gives sure footing in the Middle East. But what the heck do I know? I'm just a dude on the internet.
