Just another reason to knock out every truck possible. Keep in mind "regular" trucks can carry fuel, in cans and/or drums More work to load the trucks, unload and refuel, but there's the main alternative to tank trucks. Another alternative to tank trucks is for tactical vehicles to carry extra filled cans/drums of fuel, but that's mighty dangerous. Would also question if the Russians would have sufficient numbers of cans/drums, and the ability to fill those containers from pipeheads/railheads/fuel bladders. My guess - highly unlikely, given how poorly the logistics of this thing have been planned.
If there's been any lesson coming out of this war, it's the reminder that logistics wins wars. You absolutely must do proper logistic planning up front, coordinated with the operations/transport planning, and be flexible enough to react to changes in the area of operations. We work the logistics side very hard in our planning for anything.
