How come troons, despite having no central authority or even a consistent dogma, act in such terrifyingly consistent ways? It's like an army of clones. Sure, we have seen the occasional troon infighting, but it's so weird how they preach the same points, even when it's individuals isolated from the main mass o' troons, all without any central authority. It's like a weird-ass case of hivemind.
I wonder if they are all just copying each other. Like "yeah! this guy figured it out!" and proceeding to assimilate their talking points and behaviors without having to check in with the central church of troondom. A lot of them even look like actual clones even down to the clothing. Then it spreads as they come into contact with other incels and weak-willed coomers who proceed to copy the guy that copied the guy that "figured it out".

But if that's the case who's the patient zero? Who could have been notorious enough to have such a reach among nerds and autismos? Who could have popularized horrible pastel little girl clothes on a rotund frame (a cornerstone of troon fashion). Who could have popularized "transmaxxing" and troonbianism to this point? Who do we know that is willing to mutilate his taint and then go on molesting women regardless of his "dysphoria" and claim to love dicks after a point?

They will also get to take selfies in a nice stylish stripped suit. Yes I know troons have been a scourge since Something Awful (thanks Lowtax, you fuck) but the resemblance is uncanny. A lot are even CWC lookalikes!

I think Kathleen Stock and Lacroicz hit on parts of this. There's a sort of cottage industry producing academicish work justifying gender ideology. This gets picked up by media and interested parties (including troon influencers) who then spread it through their channels. Some of these might be through interest and policy groups like Stonewall, but there's also a ton being shared on publicly visible social media like Twitter, Reddit, and Tumblr. And that's ignoring how much sharing is likely going on in more private places like Telegram and Discord. Streamers on Tiktok and Youtube probably are fed through those channels and then package it up and recirculate the arguments.

It's decentralized, but the community connections to move these ideas around are all in place, and have likely been for 5-10 years now. They're all drinking from the same cup of kool aid.

Social Media really facilitates this too. It used to be that traditional media institutions were essentially the gatekeepers to what information would get broadcast out as orthodoxy to the public, but that's falling away to social media influencers, who act the main nodes of dissemination. You can watch how something like an online survey by the Trevor project gets picked up by social media, shorn of it's somewhat iffy source data, and then gets written up on news websites.

Since being featured she has scrubbed her youtube channel but came back today with a "deep and introspective" video with a shitty metaphor about how LGBTQ people are demonized by society and have their light stomped out or something.

It's fascinating that terminal social media users have the knee jerk response of "wow, you're victimising an (oppression x), (oppression y), (oppression z)" when most of the time people just see a stupid hot take and disagree with it without stalking someone's profile/tweets to see how they identify.

While a cow, I do at least respect Jack Monroe for consistently talking about class and raising attention to food poverty issues, including producing advice on how to feed family for £10 a week. She's unhinged and annoying but deep down a good egg, or at least putting good into the world.

As has already been said, a lot of that is down to social media. It’s not just troonism, either, pick any woke cause du jour and it’s the same, stupid postmodern pseudo-intellectual bollox that sounds like it’s read from a script. You’ll even notice that sometimes someone hasn't updated their pat learned bullshit to align with current trends and sufferers the consequences. A prime example was how popular it was a couple of years ago to compare troons to black women, which due to being massively racist is now Not Acceptable, though it took a while for that blindingly obvious fact to filter down. Mentioning DSDs and intersex conditions as some justification for troonery is thankfully going the same way due to people who actually have them getting really pissed off about it.
All of this appeals to idiots because it’s pre-packaged, it doesn't need any thought or consideration, just absorb the fashionable opinions and be one of the good people on the right side of history.
I fucking hate it.
