Yeah this is what people are not getting. Even top level female athletes in sports dealing with things like aerobic capacity and upper body strength will peak out at around the 50 to 60th percentile of normal men. The gap between Phelps and his competitors is not relevant, but also tiny compared to what some like Thomas has in inherent advantage over women, since he has the training and body type for it, regardless of whatever HRT he's been doing. Any sporty troon is going to absolutely murder the competition in most sports.

I seriously can't imagine how one's response to "Isn't cutting off perfectly healthy body parts mutilation" is "ALL SURGERY IS THE SAME, IF SURGERY IS MUTILATION THEN SO BE IT." That's just admitting that you literally cannot think with nuance. A perfectly normal person would recognize there are different types of surgery, and importantly some of them are medically necessary and some are not, and some have more complications and some have less, and some will solve certain problems and some will not. Giving yourself an axe wound in your crotch region is (a) not medically necessary (b) results in tons of complications (c) will not cure your mental illness. In contrast open heart surgery is (a) presumably medically necessary (b) does have certain complications but would be outweighed by it (c) saving your life. A nose job isn't medically necessary, but has minimal complications and might solve your problem of looking ugly (realistically, it won't, but it has a higher chance of success than cutting off your dick to feel like a woman).
