Admittedly, it is a vicious circle. It could have been broken in 1991 with the dissolution of the USSR - truly a unique, once in a century opportunity to start international relations from a clean slate - but whatever faggots were in charge refused to let go of the feeding trough, and thirty years later here we are waging WW3 by hybrid means.

Older men can make very effective part time fighters having both relevant experience, eat less, and tend to be calmer. If civvies don't guard the rear, fighters have to stand about bored. The Ukies don't have the Chechens as a cheka.

Sounds good on paper. Wreck NATO, split Russia into Novorossiya in the south, Muscovy in the north-west and Siberia in the east (then watch it get gobbled up by China, kek) and let Texas and California secede from the US (and start an autistic slapfight) so that the burgers have something to do closer to home instead of sticking their fingers in every other pie in the world.
