General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Been out for five days to touch grass and meet up with family, only to comeback to personal message and my autistic son sperging again. Oh, and literally 100 pages. Good to be back, fam. Brb, catching up on what RushiNeko got into again.
Next time bring your son with you to go buy cigarettes at the fuel station. Could use some father and son bonding time, as much as you want to leave him at home now.

To be honest id probably be in /vt/ if it didn’t become even more cancer when cow banned vtuber shit and then the sites captca got significantly more annoying it’s basically unusable at this point and most of the skitzo posting became more mean spirted.
There are other imageboards discussing livers - not just 4chan - be it on dedicated boards or just containment threads in various /a/. They move slower thanks to (in general) lower userbase count but that's arguably a positive.

If you'd have told me months ago that Nina would be more popular than Reimu, I'd have laughed at you.

Which is a shame but I guess Reimu just doesn't appeal to the majority of Niji viewers
Reimu does a lot of things that one would describe as 'shooting herself in the foot'.

She locks the majority of her karaoke streams behind her Membership, meaning people rarely experience her main talent. She usually streams during the most packed slots and has to contend with Pomu and Selen, and she also doesn't play — if you'll excuse my /vt/ vernacular — 'buff games' very often.

It's not that NijiEN fans aren't interested in her because she IS inclining, it's just that she hasn't really tried to stand out. Japanese fans weren't even aware she was fluent.

Of course, I imagine that if she cared about any of these things, she'd already have changed them. She doesn't need Vox to gain momentum. We are only a couple months removed from Enna and Rosemi struggling to break 1K.

The problem that most of the "least popular in the gen" chuba have in common is that they all decide to stream boring games.
Really makes you think uh
Naturally, spamming Minecraft and FOTM is going to juice the numbers, but if it's not what they want to do then it's not what they want to do.

I'm quite thankful that there's people like that tbh. With the amount of people NijiEN has, my brain would have frazzled ages ago if they were only playing numberfag games. Even their current Minecraft escapades have been mostly offline which spares us at least a half-dozen streams a week.

You know you can't just say that without providing any link right? There must have been more schizo shits there
relatively mundane, the tone is not unsimilar to this thread, there's a couple of girls going "idk why males simp for female vtubers but suddenly when nijien males showed up i understood and became a gachikoi". outside of that thread though there seems to be a few detractors simply finding it cringe or hating them because they're e-boys

At least we'll have another place to see some (potential) retardation outside of /vt/, especially if there's a big drama like Rushia-class drama. You never know man, you never know...

It really makes me think about how numberfagging is dumb yes.

At least within holo and Niji the "least popular in gen" members are still generally speaking, very very successful as far as streaming and vtubing goes. I don't find it to be a terrible thing that some of them, already in a position of success, choose to chase making content they enjoy with games they would rather play, instead of chasing FOTM titles.

There's this weird double edged sword in the viewerbase where if they play the big number games, some complain that they are just playing the same shit everyone else does and it's tiresome. But then if they go off on their own and play other random games they enjoy, "they are playing boring games and it hurts their growth" It's a lose lose scenario, might as well just play what you want and enjoy your success.

It's kinda funny that at the same time as this conversation happening, Reimu has around 2.7k watching her play ranked matches with her Vsaikyo team (who are also streaming their own perspectives) - I can see her doing quite well from this tournament arc.
