Afghanistan fell because we were frankly tired of propping up a completely non-functional government. The Taliban didn’t begin its offensive until we had fully pulled out and they succeeded because we didn’t make good on our promise to provide air support. A miscalculation based upon the current administration’s timidity.
That and how it was used as a money printing excuse for every military big head who laundered tax money for themselves through interpreters and shit. Nobody gave a fuck about Afghanistan or the Taliban, not even the puppet regime. Shit was the perfect scam, no wonder it lasted fro 2 decades up until Trump decided to cut it and Biden then took a shit on it.
This entire conflict is like Bane-posting but the plane has no gasoline.
Didn't you hear? Biden said gas is un climate changeable or some shit. Everything must be electric now.

And there we fucking have it. They finally said the quiet part out loud. I fucking said Putin doesn't consider Ukraine to be a country. I fucking said they're going for the whole thing.

And now we have the fucking spokeswoman straight up saying this.

I take it neither of you own an automobile or a house so you don't believe this is a problem.

Too bad that rent and bus fare are going to reflect your leader's poor choices soon enough too.
You're drastically overstating the cost of living in the states. Nobody is going "oh man I can't drive anymore". Yes gas is more expensive, but it's not even remotely close to the point of being unable to drive.

There’s video of the Alligator burning in port. Sat images of one of the Ropuchas shows it spiraling away from port, so either the rudder is fucked, the engines are fucked, or both.

This here is a Ropucha.

And this as you can see, is an Alligator having a VERY bad day.

Covert Shores is a very solid naval watcher. Fact of the matter is whatever happened here, that Alligator is done for. By the videos, she’s a floating hulk right now, or sunk.

The real winner of this war will be Klaus Schwab

Putin: Whoops.....
It’s important to note that there’s only 10 landing ships available to the Russians in the Black Sea, and these seem to have been filled with equipment or supplies. The largest of the three is gone, while one of the other two here is probably going to need yard time for a few months at best, and another probably time in dock to fix whatever that fire damaged, probably at least a day, maybe up to two weeks. The Russians really don’t have any replacement vessels available to them, so this is a huge loss. It’s an old Soviet era ship, and they’d sunk money into upgrading them.

Gas prices doubling have definitely affected people's driving habits. Yes, Europe got it much worse, but $4-5 a gallon is ridiculous. Not to mention rising costs of new and used vehicles, too.

Genuinely disheartening to watch. Look at that poor bugger going in circles as it's dying.

Rudder seems to be stuck. Fire looks to have been contained, but if there’s damage to the rudder, and they haven’t killed the engines yet, they’re in deep shit. That means there’s likely flooding and they’re pumping out water. I don’t know how long it’ll last or if there’s even crew on it.

Just a reminder the military had to shoot down deep state fuckers wanting a no fly zone over Syria on CSPAN. The dumbasses didn't think trying to enforce it over an entire country wouldn't cause a war between the US and Russia.

I don't like the MIC or their lackeys in power over the military but at least they aren't batshit insane.
Yeah, that’s where we’re at right now. Our model is based upon deterrence and deterrence has failed. The other extreme being direct intervention which could lead to nuclear war and I like my steaks unseasoned by radioactive isotopes so that’s also a failure condition. The only thing left is lethal aid because Now it’s up to the Ukes to wreck their shit whether they win or lose. The Russians have been at this for for fourteen years and have essentially proved the realist. School correct: That international norms are only a thing if everyone accepts them. Where many of the people arguing from a realist perspective fail is in their refusal to extend the analysis to everyone. Russia is guilty of everything that it accuses us of doing, to include surging troops to the borders of the Baltic states every time Putin throws a hissy fit. So of that is then the case, and because realism cuts both ways and there are only interests, it’s in our interest to use this war to hobble his military if possible.

So how big is this fuck up in the grand scheme of the war?
