Stumbled upon this on Reddit. I thought it was strange. To be licensed for fostering or adoption in the US, you must have a clean bill of health - both physically and mentally. You can foster/adopt if you have a psychiatrist or therapist or are on psychiatric medications; however, you must have a letter from your doctor/therapist saying you are fit to be a caregiver.



The wife’s psychiatrist is refusing to give a letter saying she is fit to be a caregiver. This is a HUGE, HUGE RED FLAG. All sirens blaring, huge red flag.

It’s not like the doctor decided “fuck you” - the psychiatrist has your entire medical file & knows you. The psychiatrist you have been seeing for an extended period of time is the best person to decide if you are mentally well enough to be a foster parent. So either OP is lying or OP has no absolutely no self awareness of how mentally fucked up their spouse is.
