Remember that asshole? "Cool Doors, Lamborghini" guy, where you'd see his ads pretty much all the time on Youtube for a few years? If you're not familiar, likely as not because you have a functioning brain and blocked Youtube's Ads entirely, he was a self-proclaimed "economics guru" who would tell you "the secrets to wealth creation" that he stole from sites that literally offer that fucking advice for free, and all you need to do is sign up and pay him $100 a month for it. He was pretty easy to expose, because the "houses" he allegedly owned were all rental properties that are used for demonstrations and movie sets.

So how did this motherfucker get so prevalent? He basically bought himself his own celebridom. He spent like 50 thousand on a massive ad buy-in on Youtube and bots to prop up his traffic, and he was able to use that to frame himself the way he wanted. It only lasted until people got wise to his shit, however, and then he sort of dropped off the planet around 2016.

In a lot of ways, Keffals is a reminder that bots are really, really fucking cheap to run, and most modern Social Media platforms are infested with them. Throw in the fact that Keffels has like 40+ accounts (that we're even aware of at this point) and likely has been botnetting (given the circles they're active in), and Keffals' numbers are about as legitimate as Jimmy Kimmel's popularity on Youtube.
