So, thoughts about the HoloID3 debut. As usual, you can't fully judge new talents by debut stream alone, but even with these I'm impressed with what I'm seeing. See, I'm a believer in Cover Recruitment Magic, and yet I'm still surprised they managed to bag these girls. Honestly, I would have expected NijiID getting better talents simply because in certain parts of Indonesian internet NijiID is more popular than HoloID on the simple virtue that NijiID speaks Indonesian more than HoloID. Yes, it is funny

It is actually interesting that HoloID sets the bar for Debut Stream even higher now. Sure, NijiEN made new songs for each wave. But that's a gen thing, and they're an EN branch. And yet we're seeing new cover and original song from an ID branch, a branch that many have previously dismissed only as a Guinea Pig Branch. With ID3 and HoloX, it demonstrated just how much supports and resources Cover gave to each new gen, and it applies to all branches as well. Very interesting to see how Holostar's Uproar debuts would fare now

Also, speaking about ID, have there any update about the merging of NijiID and NijiKR to the main branch? I'm particularly interested in hearing about the cancelled ID audition. Are they going to open it again after the merge?

This. NijiEN, especially the boys have a mostly female demographic, while the girls (while they're great) is largely overshadowed by their male counterparts. Nijisanji isn't stealing views away from Hololive because both of their core fanbases are different, especially the EN fanbase.

None yet. They did a cover song MV relay a week or two ago that seemed to act as a sendoff to their manager, but I imagine we'll hear more Soon™.

I know about as much as you do as I don't watch much ID, and the members haven't said anything tangible.

I'll have to go and do some digging, but I recall mention that AnyColor were hiring domestic Indo and Korean speakers to act as in-house managers.

Given that KR management HAD to go anyway, that's all well and good, but I imagine that the current ID manager leaving is more to do with logistics than a firing. They COULD move to Japan and keep the role, but if they have a marriage and kids they aren't going to want to leave. I feel like it's that sort of thing.

I guess on the whole loli topic, it just goes to show there's all different types of lolicons. People like Otsukue as the papa of water bowl, talents like Matsuri, Pikamee, Gura, Fubuki, etc. They all have different tastes (at least publicly). For instance, Gura hasn't shown any outward propensity for liking loli hentai, she just seems to UOH over cute small girls like in blue archive or last labyrinth. What he said could be taken in two different lights in my opinion. It could be taken as wholely stupid, which is my take, or it could be seen as hurtful, because it insinuates that Council are somehow failures. In a non-retarded world, only Council could ever be hurt by his remarks when taken as an insult, but we live in the real world, where some people perceive attacks on the ones they care about as being something they need to stand up and denounce, even if it has nothing to do with them. Yes, I do believe that guy who replied to Ollie actually does care, but in a juvenile way that is unhealthy. I looked at his account, and he just seems like some Jap who's a fan of hololive that can understand/speak english. He, ostensibly, has no dog in this race, but I think he unironically feels like Fulgar crossed some social red line far enough that he should be treated as a hostile outsider. It should go without saying that none of this stuff should've ever been written on the Internet. Not the retard that replied to Ollie, and not Fulgar's braindead rrat even if he didn't think it would become public knowledge.
