And this no lib who wants a war who judging by his profile pic is a tard maybe
And joe Walsh
Warmonger Max Boot should be deported and sent to the land of his Uke ancestors (he has Israeli citizenship btw).
Don't forget funding radical Islamists in middle east.
I can sort of understand that as they were the only game in town but later on they literally created them where they didn't exist or were no threat. I now suspect the Islamists in Chechnya were provided with glowie toys and advice now, it's the glowie MO.

To keep a long story reasonably short: The Soviets made similarly retarded decisions like the Americans decades later, had piss poor planning, no answer to the hit-and-run tactics by the Mujahideen, misunderstood the culture of the local Afghan tribes and many other things.

They tried tried at some point appearing "less alien" to the Afghans by sending more soldiers from the Muslim SSRs, in particular Uzbeks and Tajiks. It backfired. Horribly.
turns out people that actually know what the afghans are saying hate them even more.

Honestly, I somewhat doubt it. The geographic location alone would have made it extremely difficult to get them there. Plus you didn't really need to supply anyone there when all the soviet arms depots were pretty much open for anyone.

This war has escalated quickly hasn't it. On week 1, we got "its totally gonna be over soon. Baghdad 2, boogaloo". By Week 2, it was a redux of Market Garden, with the paratroopers shredded and the tank force bogged down since they were bereft of their light infantry. By Week 3, we'd gone full Stalingrad. Week 4? Literally lining the highways with the corpses of invaders tied to lamp poles.

Slavs really know how to throw a war I guess.

Can an AK-74 even chamber a 7.62x39? I’d assume the Soviets would have made sure it couldn’t to keep that from happening.
AK and AKM rifles and AK-derived light machine guns still use the 7/62 rounds, while the AK-74 doesn't, but all you need is a good armorer to jerryrig it.

That means you have to know what rifled parts go where and which parts need to be modified/replaced to make it work. It's not for the soy imbibers.

I’d hate to be the Russian or Ukrainian cops trying to get armored vehicles back from the gypsies or the farmers. Imagine being the poor OMON guy who has to repo a T-90A
Between the tractor bandits and the handouts at the start of the war, I suspect that Ukraine has just de facto enshrined the Second Amendment for the next century.

Poor guy looks like "Please, I just want a quiet place with a box, is that too much to ask for?"

What is with the gay as fuck method of tying people up on both sides and having them say some shit about Russia or Ukraine? I mean come on Russia, you already love putting Z on stuff for some reason and the west is autistically larping about The Avengers. Time to cosplay as another Disney property. Way more effective than having them say Sl4v4 R00sia or whatever and you even get the added benefit of pissing off Disney.

Imagine going into Ukraine expecting to be welcomed as nazi slaying liberators, but the locals hate you so much they send you home without your dick and kneecaps; and your only compensation is worthless money in the most sanctioned economy on Earth.

Like fucking hell what a nightmare.

At least there’s wheelbarrows I guess
But you will also be awarded with the high priest virtue medal in Reddit, and a jazz hands welcoming parade in downtown Portland.

That's far beyond Jerry rigging it. You need to ream out the chamber, headspace it, either swap out the barrel or bore it out, both of which have their own issues. Then you have to deal with the gas system. Oh and after that, your sights won't be lined up, so you have to fix that. Also you'd probably have to do some stuff with the mag well.

As someone who hoped for the best (Only Donbass gets annexed) but expected the worst (complete puppet or annexation). This really has been a rollercoaster ride, I've gone from making fun of people who thought that to thinking that's the most likely resolution at this point, while in the meantime a good amount of the (admittedly smaller) pro-Russian accounts of lurked have came out of the woodwork saying they need to annex it all.

A Donbass compromise is the best solution in terms of an aftermath for reactions, because Ukraine will technically lose it will be a loss for Reddit, or at least debunk the idea they were completely destroying the Russian armed forces, and make the more radical Pro-Russians mad because they did all that for fucking Donbass and the "Russia STRONK!" memes will be dead in the water.

Well, when you put it like that...boy is an armorer so he makes it sound easy, I guess. idk, I like tinkering and I love a challenge, ymmv

Oh it can be done, we're just talking levels of effort that approach on "build a new gun instead". Rechambering even a bolt action or single shot is a difficult enough, but there's all sorts of new issues when you get into semi/full automatics.

Let hamas deal with him then

What are the chances of any Cubans joining the Russian Federation in this "special operation", especially if its turns into an insurgency? Very curious since they're still friends with the both the Russian Federation and China, especially if they get some free/uber cheap gas/grain out of it.

He saw various working rifles/weaponry jerryrigged in Iraq and Afghanistan and sounded impressed. I don't know about the quality but it's been done.
