Regarding the so-called clitoris, everybody knows that the most sensitive spot on the penis is the frenulum, the little bit under the head where a very dense nerve cluster is located. In the MTF surgery, this most sensitive part is cut away and discarded. The "clitoris" is made out of the upper half of the head (upper as if the penis was pointing straight out from the body at a 90 degree angle).

There is also the fact that the vagina is not straight, as it has an upward tilt towards the opening of the cervix, so there is less of a risk of the penis being bent at an angle that would lead to injury during penetration.

That's part of what makes me laugh when I learned about how TIFs will wrap their protuber in tape to make it stiff enough for penetration. If I'm being extremely open minded here trying to imagine being a trans, I think having to make an exoskeleton for my skin flap would be extremely dysphoric.
