General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I'm worried about this to be honest. While I respect that Vox has the balls to actually cater to these fujos and has essentially become the go-to when it comes to horny female fans, I genuinely think it's not good for the long term. Insane women are... more insane than insane men, especially when it comes to being degenerates. I'm scared of a power I don't understand nor grasp the scale of.
I think it has the possibility of bringing in more of the wrong types of fans to the vtuber community. There are enough problems as it is and we don't need all these fujos around. It's the same reason why I didn't like Calli going on Trash Taste because I don't like their fanbase and the casual crowd.

Is this particularly unusual? I imagine there would be a number of new players who'd get similar situations to this?
The act of being locked in at a certain rank and then, while you're practicing, you end up a slightly higher rank than you were isn't necessarily 'unusual'. Not super common, as most players improve their rank randomly or between tournaments, but it does happen (Uzuki Kou on Kuzuha's team was locked in as a Plat 1 but is now a Diamond 4, for example).

However, being locked in as a below average player and then being trained by a professional between then and the tournament is extremely unusual and borders on being an exploit. A clever exploit, but an exploit nonetheless. Anything within the rules isn't 'cheating' but it's certainly a very liberal interpretation of how Hal's balancing system works.

Based on what people discuss so far regarding Vox and the fujos. Did he pretty much follow the same bread and butter as Mafumafu (RushiNeko’s twink), and all it takes for his downfall will be some fujos dig up how he blasting some gal on daily basis while taking their Simp money?
You saw what happened last time. All it would take is Vox saying "I didn't do it, it wasn't me" and the fujos would be appeased and happy.

Maybe Millie just “stay clean” for now her her contract with Niji run out so she can pull a Luna.

She was unlucky with the Holo Vsinger audition last year due to IRyS is so powerful and HoloEN2 is pretty much a class of their own despite slow growth.
Say you don't know about NijiEN without actually saying it. I'm sure this is a troll but I'll do my due diligence anyway.

First of all, you're thinking of Enna, not Millie. Secondly, there was no irrefutable proof that Enna actually auditioned, it was just strongly pushed by her social circle to do so.

Thirdly, Millie and Enna both submitted two auditions to NijiEN: One as a duo, and one solo audition each. You physically cannot have one without the other, and when HoloEN only provide 5 slots a year then their chances of getting in together are almost impossible.

Right now, NijiEN has Elira, Millie, and Enna: 3 friends that have known each other for nearly 10 years, all together under the same branch. It's unrealistic to even suspect one of them can be uprooted from the others.

So I hit the Homepage for Holodex; which I keep on the Vtuberdex setting. If you use that site, you know that doing so will just flood your screen with something akin to seeing the multiverse. However, as I was peeling my eyes toward the menu to hit favorites before going insane; one indie caught my eye. Edited for ease on the eyes.

I don't think she has been mentioned here at all (not that I saw from typing in the parts of her name in search anyway). So here is Kawasaki Sui:
Her About page is in English and Japanese:
IRL receptionist for a big company, Sui Kawasaki!
Motorbike and car enthusiast, currently focused on Gran Turismo.
I try streaming a variety of content such as: Game playthrough and commentary, chatting, singing, ASMR, reading, etc ♪
I am not the usual "Kawaii" cute girl but I hope my Onee-san healing aura is to your liking (*'▽')
I hope we can become good friends ♪

What originally caught my eye was this video, a 24/7 Pre-Recorded Japanese story reading stream:

She did a collab with Figaro recently, who was mentioned here earlier. And if none of that convinces you to check her out like I am going to; the fact that one of her rules is to use only Japanese or English in chat, cucking the the huehuespammers is just icing on the cake.
I'm sure this is a troll
Bro, it's @kadmckool. I can barely tell what he is saying half the time let alone his intentions. But I got through a bit to understand this one:

I typed in "Vox Fujo" and got this channel first:
With this clip from yesterday's celebration stream:
Take it as you will.
Personally, I don't hate too much on the fujo-bait, bfe/gfe, yuri-bait, etc. . . it's all a show at the end of the day, a very involved show, but so are comedy clubs. At the end of the day, the blame for me always falls on the fan's inability to separate themselves from the entertainment to an unhealthy degree.

And looking at that clip, yeah he's a playing into that whole section of the fanbase, for sure, but he's also being really nonchalant about it. He's the same in the other clip this person has from the Offline collab. To any casual watcher that isn't a stark-raving-drool-ridden degenerate. . . he's pretty much an average show-host; flirty but nothing invested (like maybe Rushia was). Looking at some of the comments though. . . there is your problem. At the end of the day, they're all playing with para-social fire so to speak.

I slept a little more so I'm feeling good enough to join the Custom lobby.

I'm still not in a good enough condition to stream. I'd be happy if you support us through watching other people's streams.

Towa literally recommended that people do this to support them, which is pretty bad.

This has had something of a domino effect, as some Japanese fans are speculating that no one provided a POV because they are hiding the presence of a coach to protect their Gachikoi. There have been a few occasions where Towa is too sick to stream her POV in a tournament but can still be heard in the POV of the other two, so the fact all three of them are the only non-viewer team without a POV is raising eyebrows as to the veracity of Aqua's claim that they aren't being coached.

Sana has some weird moments sometimes
Seems like a pretty typical Sana stream to me. Also HoloCrumb on-point with the editing, as usual.

Almost certainly she didn't mean "watch from other people's POV and comment on us in their chat"...

Oh boy, here we go with more Holodrama brewing. Rrats always assuming the worst-case scenario.

Hololive has had successful double auditions of close friends in the past: Korone+Okayu. I've heard rumors that Gura+Ame also knew each other, but I do not know about their level of friendship pre-hololive.
That said, Millie+Enna could have tried for sure. But they are much better suited for Nijisanji, so I'm glad they are where they are now.

Pippa and Tenma got into Phase Connect as a package deal too, so it's not like the idea is out of left field.

That collab was pure gold. Some great bantering between all of them. Something about Kronii brings out the most absurd comments from IRyS, I swear. I think she tries to get a rise out of Kronii. I notice the same thing when Kiara collabs with Kronii, her reactions make fot some fun times.
I can really feel the friendly Ex vibes from Irys/Kronii bullying eachother they really make me believe they used to be a thing

Yeah and if they got in Holo we wouldn't have the Trio

Threw it in DeepL instead of using the google translate feature. It read:
I'm feeling better after a little sleep.
I'm on custom.
Sorry if you want to see the demo, I'm not in the best of shape, but no delivery...!
I'd be happy to support other people's delivery~ ;)

Sounds like it is is saying for her fans to support the others. Dropped the subject (the fans) as is usual, but it really does seem to imply she would be happy if they supported the others. I'm not an expert but looking piece by piece kind of implies that.

As for the rrat about them secretly having a coach. Possible, sure.

I agree, but fans are left with no other option because of the lack of POVs from all three members. She encouraged her fans, or the people cheering for her team to watch others which invites trouble even if it wasn't intended.

I don't think it'll necessarily reach the point of becoming drama, but it is a sentiment that might pick up traction as these lobbies and scrims go on.

Being the only team to not have a single POV, whilst also being the only team to not have a coach for reasons other than 'the coach will have a penis' certainly comes off as suspicious to the same people the decision was likely made to avoid upsetting.

All this coupled with Suisei's rank is somehow managing to even leave a weird taste in my mouth, as it starts to feel just a little bit...odd.

This doesn't prove or disprove anything, right? Alelu having God POV because he's an admin isn't strange. You can't hear their voices through him or anything.

I mean...I admit my Japanese isn't native, but even if you wanted to value DeepL over me, the top comment under the tweet is from one of Towa's top translators.

The problem is in the interpretation; which is a major issue in Japanese in general. His translation isn't wrong, it is technically correct from my understanding. But it could also be said, as something akin to 'support the other streamers and help me out.' It just seems that she wasn't telling them the explicitly do what they did, but that the wording was vague enough for the gachikoi mind to misinterpret in order to act like jackasses. Easily could happen to any native speaker of any language. The English translations are easily something a Ame could say and get fucked for.

I think the tweet isn't really the issue because let's be real if they weren't going to do a POV, what else are they supposed to just not tweet promoting the event? that too would be kind of a break from norms where all participants promote the event to bring in viewers. Keeping silent and tweeting nothing would be odd and probably just make them seem ungrateful and unsupportive of the organizers of the event.

I don't think the tweet so much caused any other chat disturbances so much as them not having a POV did. Even if they'd tweeted nothing, their supporters would have landed in other channels watching and the same issues would have likely arose. (To some degree I think it would have even if they did have a POV up but that's largely beside the point)

So to me it really just comes down to the lack of a POV from their team and whether or not that was good or bad on them to do the particular semantics of the tweet are secondary and kind of just distract from that point.
