Going to be an interesting 2024. Tulsi Gabbard, Nikki Haley, Kamala, and Trump returns to win back the championship title. Tulsi will probably be the only person running against Kamala since they don't want any candidates with actual popularity (as in, any popularity) to steal the show. It'd be amusing if Tulsi somehow dark horses her way into the nomination and she's up against Trump. Trump could invite her to be VP instead of running against him.

I'm not a fan of Bloomberg, but if they really wanted a return to normalcy kind of candidate, he would have been stable enough to run a Blue Dog kind of administration. In general, they could have chosen literally anyone else and made possibly the worst choice.

There wasn't the same kind of establishment rigging that there was in 2016. Put the blame on Democrat primary voters voting for empty Obama nostalgia because they found the progs too extremist and the younger neolibs too much of a risky prospect against Trump.
The same kind of smoothbrained thinking (with some admitted media manipulation, sure, it happened with Biden as well) resulted in Republicans moronically picking Romney as their nominee in 2012. Too focused on who they thought could take down The Great Satan of the other party and not enough on who could actually govern.

There is probably some truth to that but it is more complex than just a simple "increase their profits".
Ramping up an operation takes a lot of capital. It is a major investment and with Biden at the helm I too would be very vary about making massive investments in this area. For no other reason than that you put down massive amount of money and then just out of the blue Biden suddenly banning your entire operation just to score some points with the green new deal folks. And your investment is gone.

Which, honestly, was going to be an issue with any Dem to varying degrees. The party itself is unfriendly to startups.

I don't really get why the right-wing internet loves her so much. I know she is certainly the only Dem you see on the national stage that stands for something (other than personal gain), but what she wants is wholly incompatible with what the Trump populists want.

Trump said he also would like to know more about Hunter Biden's relationship with Ukrainian oligarch Nikolai Zlochevsky, the owner of the Burisma Holdings gas company that hired the Biden scion in 2014 to its board and paid him hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

At the time, the State Department considered Burisma to be a corrupt company that made bribes to Ukrainian officials and viewed Hunter Biden’s relationship as having created the appearance of a conflict of interest because his father, then Vice President Joe Biden, oversaw U.S.-Ukraine policy.

A memo obtained by Just the News in January of this year also revealed that senior State officials were warned that Hunter Biden’s dealing in the country had undercut U.S. anticorruption policies.

I use a couple of my family members as a gauge of what the next grift is. For gas prices, the up and coming reasoning is that oil companies are greedy and are refusing to pump more oil so they can increase their profits. That is then being used by other companies to justify the increased prices for all goods.

tl;dr - its timely to start pumping somewhere new. Like up to a year or more. Just because they have leases and permission from the government to pump, doesn't mean the land is fruitful. And the Biden admin are not releasing any new leases for new pumps. To paraphrase, "out of those 9k leases that the oil companies hold on to, only 90 of them might be suitable for drilling". And a lot of these leases are owned by mom and pop operations. Like 80-90% of the oil pumped. So these new permits aren't all owned by billion dollar corporations.

There are pros and cons to picking Tulsi. The pros are that she can appeal to libs who think their party is run by insane people and it would make the Democratic Party eternally ass mad. The cons are she tried passing her own version of the Green New Deal and realistically she’s probably slightly to the right of AOC.
