On a more serious note, I was genuenly surprised at how harshly the establishment cracked down on Jan 6 perpetrators who didn't even do anything. Thats a very easy conclusion to make. It's also a very wrong conclusion to make. WW1 merely accelerated certain things, it not happening wouldn't have stopped them all. The pressures were already there for the Russian revolution, and all the other stuff that happened in the aftermath of ww1. The 20th century was always going to be a bloody shitshow, regardless of whether or not some archduke got blasted in Sarajevo.
