General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

PC English + CyberLive's Luna (Pipp's new bff) and Yuri will be doing a watchalong of the Postal movie of all things. The one that basically begins with Arab terrorists flying a plane into a building.

It's the only Uwe Boll movie I've seen, and I thought it was entertaining for what it was. Keep your standards low and I think you can have fun with it. Bonus: It's available for free on Tubi so you won't have to pirate it from some scummy site. It apparently has ads but maybe they'll be blocked by a blocker, not sure.

EDIT: Aside from the same sort of violence and crude humor as the game, there is both booba and pipi, IIRC. Watch in an appropriate environment.
I never knew they made a movie out of Postal and I just watched it for the first time. This is now my most anticipated watchalong of all time. I can't wait.

I can't tell with him whether he's a girl or not, but he's playing a character so it doesn't matter to me. If it actually is a girl behind the avatar, then as long as she isn't delusional enough to believe she's a real dude then I have no qualms about playing into it.

Also Kiara
Maybe I should be watching her playthrough because this was pretty great.

I think that term goes both ways. It can be a female with a male avatar too.
I don't believe so, the word, when broken into it's component parts, literally means "virtual girl incarnation" so it's really that specific.

I don't know what the corresponding term is for girls using male avatars but I'm almost positive Babiniku doesn't get used universally that way.

Not-Moona's about to go live.

EDIT: Eating stream. ok. She says she's still sick.

EDIT 2: "Am I gay or straight? What do you think?" - she's teasing chat.

EDIT 3: Talking about her ex-BF, if anyone cares.
I'm scared I just had her in the background barely paying any attention and suddenly she's talking about wanting to kill herself and jumping off a building what's going on.

Edit: Ok so turns out this is story time regarding her schizo ex.

it's weird for me that her voice doesnt match with the face lmao, can be because i get used to saw her emotionless face

now talking about her ex about how toxic he is using her name to get himself fame by "oh yeah i know that girl..." so it's been three years, 2019 to be more specific, the dude threatening her by saying he about to kill himself. later on he manipulates the story that she using him as a gold digger and specifies all thing he already bought to her. so once they broke up she paid up all the thing he already bought so she doesn't have any feel guilt trip anymore. if the jp dox site is correct, then it can be that guy on the website (?)

will update more later, gotta use the stream for background noise while working

edit notmun:
nothing much going on, after talking about her ex.
1. she talk she currently busy with her thesis
2. she can't login on her tiktok account and can't delete the tiktok on there.

also not penguin already establish her dominance over clock

edit :

Calli is like 10 minutes into her stream and I missed the first 8 or so. Which means I also I missed the context, but she was explaining how she told someone about "Sonichu" and had a second bloodborne character they were playing the game together with off stream and named after it. I only just joined in time to hear how they didn't really know a lot about Sonichu or the origin, but Calli showed her some images on google and it was just "Haha American Culture" or something lol.

Alright, which one of you is Calli/demondice/Karen/American Rapper in Foreign Land?

Too bad Hololive no longer accepts gifts for their talents. I would have loved to see some oil baron just bombard Gura with these pillows.

I did a quick search before and I saw somewhere saying it was for both. But I guess according to Wikipedia: An actor who performers in the voice of the opposite gender is called a "both-gender type" (両声類) which is a pun on the word "amphibian" (両生類).

Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt obviously.

Im honestly surprised that Cover allow this i know they stated that they dont take notice into a talents private life but if she does go there and actually interact with fans that show up for calli then i can imagine Cover stepping in
She's planning on doing an actual live show at the con. Probably one of the evenings. Honestly, movie stars and other popular net personalities with cult followings hit conventions all the time. If y'all are thinking about shit going down then expect it to happen on a Q&A portion (if she has one). If she's just doing a typical fan meet & greet or merch signing then it's definitely going to be behind a table in a cordoned-off area for convention guests that require additional paid access and convention security managing lines and interactions. If she's doing paid photo sessions with fans then expect her to have strict guidelines about fans not having/wearing anything Callie- or Cover-related visible.

With the money she makes she'd probably be better hiring a private bodyguard or two just to make sure nobody does anything stupid.
She won't need to. Convention security in the media/actor/personialty guest area should be fairly strict and well-cordoned off from non-paying convention goers without the additional access, unless she decided to walk around the convention floor herself.

So the final 2 of uproar debuted and now I'm confused

Gamma: YAGOO went to Shinove with all the fat stacks of money and said hey you remember Ina from EN? find me one like that, he is probably Iofi favorite considering he is better than her in the art department, this is the 3rd professional illustrator that enter Holo iirc, in terms of voice he is just faster Roberu, high energy guy, weird contrast compared with how shill Ina is

Ryo: high quality pipe user , I suppose they wanted to have one in the roster, i suppose Rika and Izuru need a homie to bully, in regard of his gender I don't give much of a shit considering the most manly voices in the Japan industry comes from Woman, so ranges can go either way

My confusion come about that iirc last year they showed 3 models that was Yato, Gamma and Ryo, why the sudden shift to add Uyu?
