Didn't see this anywhere yet.
Do love how they want to get away from the idol thing and often criticize it while at the same constantly falling back into using ideas and terminology of it. The whole "rebutting" thing seems retarded given it's the same person, same character, same personality, and same audience.

Holo really searched deep for multi talented individuals for JPstars, but looks like its the same story. I bet if they found a Japanese guy that could speak english even if he was only half as talented he would zoom pass everyone in the branch.

Maybe, but one person doesn't make a branch. No one talks about Tsunderia being a big player just because Miori went viral, or Shiki for PRISM.

A bilingual MIGHT be able to hold a western viewerbase for himself, but he won't be able to trickle that to 12 other people, and a StarsEN is going to undercut all their work regardless. Holostars had a few months last year where they comparatively blew up. That's gone now.

The members and the higher-ups have two years' worth of neglect and stagnation they need to fix, and saying 'Here is Gen 4, but it's not QUITE Gen 4, it's actually something different. Oh, and we don't have social medias or a release date to promote yet, but it'll be the day after HoloID debut with their own song!' is evidently not the way to go about it. A retard like me saw this coming the day they were announced.

Tenma playing Black Mesa. I wish some vtubers would go for the original Half Life. It's still a better game, and the Black Mesa devs would be the first to tell you that.

EDIT: Her reaction to the resonance cascade was to laugh maniacally and yell "SCIENCE!" lol

So A-Chan is the real hero and Shinove / INNK manager san couldn't keep up?

It's not a managerial thing. How could Shinove and INNK possibly keep up with post-2020 Hololive? No amount of Marketing Theory or pie charts can really predict or account for any of that.

But when the three are very explicitly regarded as three separate productions, it is only natural that the budget is divided relative to the size of the department. Hololive is huge by comparison, so they get the lion's share of the budget spent on new members, expensive riggers and artists, advertisements, collaborations etc. Which, in turn, widens the gap between them and the others even further.

INNK will effectively merge with Hololive next month with the induction of AZKi, but you can't do that with the boys. HolostarsJP can only sit and wait for the inevitable moment that StarsEN completely cucks them in every conceivable department, and pray that some of their fans might give them a kiss on the cheek on their way out the hotel room.

Eh pre 2020 boom INNK could only handle AZKi and not both her and Suisei and also A-Chan set up the company from scratch with Sora and Gen. 0. Shinove seems in it for the long run at least so my comment was more tongue in cheek.

TBH the Stars seem to be moving slowly forward, with a concert last year, Hologra like shorts and similar longer format videos on the Holostar channel. If they can turn this into corporate partnerships then these growth rate numbers mean less. The two companies have different visions so it's silly that we compare them so obsessively but that is what fans do.

Uproar attracted some high quality talent so I will believe that these talents are not brain dead and see an optimistic future. As far as support Yagoo has a strong history of directly supporting the Holostar branch.

Could you imagine this time line?
Yeah that's a larp. Nobody with sense is gonna sell out to the Melody clique. I don't think the real life needy streamer (who meets the SC earnings) would drastically go for them either. Don't vshitshow have enough with having to tard wrangle veibae whenever she does the latest yab? And who in their right mind would fund $11m to this mess?

And those who bring up kson, the fact is she could make her own group, not get tied in with the most controversial western vtuber group around.

How are those sham auditions doing anyway? When is it going to be revealed that Snuffy and Haruka are joining to the surprise of absolutely nobody?

No, I think a bilingual is exactly what HoloStars needed and not getting one was a miss. If you don't speak JP and want to support Stars, who are you going to start with or gravitate to if you can't understand any of them? Clippers and chat translators can only do so much and people generally want someone they can listen to in the background anyway. This is pretty much what Coco did for HoloJP, and if you look at the sub chart, Holo hit its peak growth period right after the Gen 4 debut.

If Stars really want an EN audience they just need someone who can speak EN and JP fluently, decently entertaining enough to attract a Western audience (hell, even just the Holo EOP audience), and is willing to do tons of collabs with the others. I don't think we can keep blaming lack of exposure and neglect from management as a reason for why they haven't blown up since the main branch didn't blow up because of events and concerts anyway. I highly doubt a spot at HoloFes would've done much for their numbers other than a temporary bump.
