I'm not a reddit user. My friend just sent me this. It does seem almost too good to be true.

Per the brave and honest woman: he got misgendered at the grocery store then had a public freakout which was captured and uploaded and sent to him by a friend. Then he decided reddit was a good place to go to for advice. Also he's a registered sex offender.

A statistically bizarre amount of troons of either sex have Ehler-Danlos syndrome. It's been documented. The link there is probably autism, which is comorbid with EDS seemingly more often than not.

I did think of that, but while hypermobile EDS skin sure does feel soft and squishy, it doesn't really visibly look that soft and doughy AFAIK. Maybe there is a connection there though. Definitely does seem to have something to do with hormonal effects on the muscles/connective tissue, like others have said. I don’t know, I’m just guessing.

I suspect another complication is that the "plumbing" doesn't exist in terms of blood supply in biologically male bodies, from what I've read of Uterine Transplants, the non-functional one is taken out and the new one put in (rather like putting in a spa bath shell when you have all the pumps, heaters, jets, pipes and connections ready to go)

You can't just rock up when there only a hot/cold tap and a drain.

Could just be that fatties with EDS look like that, no idea. In my experience hEDS skin can look very blotchy and sometimes translucent, and there's usually specific signs like lax skin around the hands and elbows, but the overall texture isn't visibly different. Might be different if the person is chubby and very sedentary.

cEDS skin does not look like that, neither does clEDS. hEDS has no required/defined skin appearance. If you meet someone that looks like a pustulant corpse it's because they get no sun, get no exercise, and eat a shit diet or abuse benedryl. About 3/4ths of the people who say they have hEDS don't, and about half of that 3/4ths are people with extremely shit physical health they don't want to take responsibility for. Their benign hypermobility (if they even have that) isn't what's causing them to feel like shit.

hEDS is the trans of physical medicine. They even made a hypermobility spectrum diagnosis because so many people were insistently self IDing with hEDS and screaming at doctors because they weren't knowledgeable, I shit you not. There were people arguing in earnestness that you didn't have to be flexible to have it. It peaked just after 2018, and the statewide support group here went from 60 members back to about 10 - with a few munchie orbiters (prior to 2010 I knew no one with a wheel chair and feeding tube). I've got so, so much empathy with the "I knew this from a young age" trans crowd. Having a bunch of whackjobs turn something you need medical treatment for/has negatively impacted you from a young age into a circus fucking sucks. I don't even have hEDS, I've got a genetically confirmed type, and these people still made me feel deep shame.

Yeah. I looked through about 3 weeks of his comments. He does post every day, which is dedicated, but he doesn't post that much every day, at least for a trans. And his opinions on things are all over the place, eg. he hates JK Rowling and all the other bigots uncritically but himself admits he used to be a man, trans women are male, trans women maybe shouldn't be in sports, puberty blockers might be dangerous, etc. He's also (usually) pretty articulate and intelligent enough so it's hard for me to imagine someone like that not realizing that posting on a popular reddit sub would bring more eyes to the video (were it real). I think even the troons there think something is amiss because it's a pretty low engagement post for that sub.

So, yeah, I'm leaning very strongly toward long troll trying to prove that within online trans spaces you can say reasonable things and get down voted and you can be a sex offender and get support.
