Btw found that pic of Ivan hanging out in Ukraine:

If they did that lets say in October, the euros would be much more inclined to agree. And btw, if I recall correctly, the army was at UA border already by October there everyone said that chances of OP were high, but Biden called Putin and it was kinda delayed.
Sleepy Joe had nothing to do with it. Winnie the Pooh threatened to tank Putin's social credit score if he messed up Chinese Olympics.

2 things, it looks like Ukraine was about to launch an attack on the Donbaus regions which might be why Russia decided to do something when they did.

It's rumored(and I believe it) Xi asked Puyin to delay the invasion until after the Winter Games concluded.

So regarding the GAS, as far as I got it it's just a scheme that allows everyone to keep a face, in other words in kinda changes nothing.

1) Eurocucks should open 2 accounts in Gazprombank - in RUB and in EUR
2) They pay in EUR
3) Gazprombank ITSELF converts EUR to RUB and transfers RUB to the RUB account of eurocucks
4) The RUB are being sent to Gazprom
....
Kinda profit? Putin tells Ivans about another major strategical win. Eurocucks tell other eurocucks that they were not cucked.
That only works if Gazprombank have magic money goblins that can create rubles out of thin air.

To borrow from Borscht's example, you are expecting GPB to convert rotten fish to Currency Units - which I'm sure they will do, for a 1% margin- but do so indefinitely. Sooner or later GPB will find they have 50 billion rotten fish, 5 Currency Units, the neighbours are starting to complain about the smell and the cat now wants chicken. GPB have to find some way of selling the rotten fish for Currency Units (how many cats are there in Russia? How fussy are the bears?). And they can't rely on trade, because Europe has chosen starvation. And they can't rely on travel, since very few people in Russia will now be interested in a holiday in, say, Bulgaria, because they will have to sign an EU form saying they hate Putin, and Putin will personally shoot them in the face on their return.

All this does is accelerate inflation in Europe.

Although it will make Yuri Shamalov rich enough to buy Australia.

The reason rouble is tanking compared to the euro is because nobody is interested in buying it. Once demand for the rouble starts to grow, it will start gaining actual value. This is a fairly direct process: the more foreign customers agree (or a forced) to play ball, the better it is for rouble's security, and when all else fails, the central bank can always nudge the actual conversion rate as they see fit.

The Pajeets have already agreed to the plan, by the way, and are now working on a designated shitting payment system to bypass SWIFT.

Seems optimistic though. The Russian currency has lost value compared to both the dollar and the euro even with a recession, growing european reliance on russian gas, and covid.
Also the problem with trying to make deals with the Indians and the Chinese to strengthen the ruble is that the Indians and the Chinese are also competing with the russian currency to keep it low compared to their own currency to make any economic deals between them more favorable.
Like I'm going to make the assumption that even though 90% of the world would rather not use the dollar, and that the dollar has several times been proven to be volatile, people use it because it's considered relatively safe, and any alternative would give too much power to their rivals.
Like how are the BRICS supposed to agree on a alternative to the US dollar? Half the time they're ready to stab one another whenever they don't eat shit.

I feel like both Borscht and Ubertroon's points are right at the same time - they are indeed working on it, and I don't think it'll work out for them in the long run. but all of these headlines from India and such are giving people some (quite possibly false) hope to stave off the immediate problems, so...it's being looked into simply on that merit alone, which is not stupid in and of itself. so much of modern-day economics boils down to: "people believe this shit to potentially be valuable, even if it's fucking insane, so number must go up."

A group of soldiers wanted to jump out of Mariupol under the guise of civilians. They were captured by the Chechens, who made them apologize and call for surrender.

The fourth guy, in addition to calling for surrender, also calls Zelensky a homo and Klitschko an imbecile who can't even make a sentence, and rhetorically asks who they are even fighting for.

I have to agree with him on that.

Let me put it this way: Europe was shit once. America was shit once. It may have taken hundreds of years of determined effort to shape them into the bastions of prosperity that they are today (or were until very recently), so small steps I guess? Russia does not have to remain a muddy Mordor with lopsided wooden huts sticking out of it forever. India does not have to remain a designated shitting street. This is one of the reasons why I did not migrate when the war started and my colleagues chose to leave: somebody has to stay behind and make the place better or die trying.

If the situation presents an opportunity for improvement, no matter how small or unlikely, the correct option is always to take it.

I think part of that improvement is going to have to include something to clear out corruption at home. I genuinely wish you guys luck with that part of it. God knows the west needs to do it as well.

This rooski gas thing is weird for me, because it went from this:

To This:

In just one day, i thought at first that russia had cucked and accepted to continue using euros and that their plan was to slowly transition from other currencies to bananas, but now it feels like they said "fuck it, we want it now".
Keep in mind that my reading conprehension is shit so maybe it's me just not getting it.

I could have sworn it was called Come and See, but that doesn't really change the fact that it's a pretty shit movie that is held up as great due to being "shocking" despite not really being all that shocking. In general it is just a bunch of commies whining about the germoids buttblasting them in film form. Because slav art only has two modes, whining about other people BTFOing them and whining about how other people aren't properly commie enough. Anyone who has seen stuff like Man Bites Dog or Salo has seen a more shocking movie.
Damn dude next post you'll be telling us about this really interesting experimental film called Begotten.

Ok, here is something interesting. For the last two days ukies lost 4 choppers near Mariupol, where nazis from Azov are about to meet Bandera. It seems that they are just trying to evacuate battalion's higher ups, which raises a question "why now, when situation is beyond dire?"
This leads to the news of Macron ripping his ass to shreds on the phone with Putin, begging him to let nazis to surrender. At the same time he tried his hardest to contact Turkey and organize "humanitarian" corridor. Meanwhile, the lead of french military intelligence is leaving his post, officially "because of his bad job with prediction of Russian operation". A month later, yeah, sure.
If you add all of these, there are two questions - who is that VIP they're trying to evacuate from Azov and what connection does he have to the french military intelligence?
I wonder...
