All this just makes me think about how the people who constantly talk about being "better" or more "moral" than others tend to be the most corrupt.I know it’ll be reiterated to high hell, but the goal is shit just for the reason that the Down the Rabbit Hole video is so old at this point. Most of what’s in there has been long exposed and Phil has already half-heartedly apologized as part of his ‘redemption/growing-up’ arc, or attempted to retcon context to dismiss the issue. But it sucks even from a functional standpoint. It’s a 400 membership goal for a reaction to a 30 minute video. That’s atrocious in terms of balance – other rewards for lower tiers were ‘full day’ marathons or an entire playthrough (which was then dropped after about 8 hours of playtime, which is still more bang for the buck). It’s so stupid that I suspect Phil will play it as an April Fool’s joke or something, which is why he spoke with indecision about revealing it during yesterday’s day stream.
Regardless, the most important element of this is that Phil billed it as something that he has ‘avoided’ for years, despite people asking him about it. And during the unnecessary preamble, he used the exact same rhetoric to talk about the multiplayer streams. So what his fans need to take away from this is what we’ve always said – when you choke Phil off and refuse to give him money for the same shit every month, he will eventually start to concede and actually try to do things he previously banned people for suggesting and shrieked was impossible. Because he’s lying. He’s just lazy. So if they refuse to give him members for the next two months, there’s a good possibility multiplayer will suddenly be doable.
It just hammers home that the retards that give him money are enablers. If the whales didn’t throw money at him to shut up his whining, he may have actually been forced to take steps to be an actual streamer.
Two other noteworthy things from the prestream: Phil has now fully retconned the Dying Light Shill Tweet Incident. He was now ‘forced’ to take the tweet down and apologize, but said that everyone then ‘ate shit’ and he was completely right about everything. That’s great, the real point is that Phil, the realest motherfucker on the internet, can be pressured into offering a fake apology, even when he knows he is right. So his word means nothing and he has no spine.
And Phil noted that he got ‘one new member’ on the prestream. Did you notice that he mysteriously avoided shouting out anyone who joined? Well that was because if you saw the pop-up, the person that joined was named Snow Karl. Phil cannot even acknowledge that name, despite the fact that the popup was on screen and it may not even be the real account, all while Snow Karl is back in his chat on a sock and continuing to throw money at him, and Phil is perfectly aware of this. Just yet another farce from a streamer who claims to be transparent and says that nobody should be upset by ‘the facts’.
Whether that be in a religion or anywhere for that matter.
Hollywood for the most part is a good example of that, and when you compare any of them to someone like Keanu Reeves(yes I know he is in Hollywood) who while isn't the best actor genuinely seems like a great person.
He never shows the good deeds he does, because that's not the point of doing them, unlike Phil who sees it as an opportunity for "something."
Like Elliot Rodger and many other people, Phil sees actions having to be followed with rewards, and so when he does something and isn't instantly rewarded from it, he says "why did I bother?"
This sums up why he is a failure of a human being, because nothing about him is genuine, it's all born out of selfishness, or better yet greed.
( In other words just don't get high off your own farts like Phillip does, and keep improving yourself. I would be a hypocrite to expect everyone to be 100% selfless...because I am not)
