After the last ask in this thread about it I dug into it, as Republican side polling in the lead up to the Primary has been sparse, but the current frontrunner is a Cleveland businessman named Mike Gibbons who worked for the Ohio Trump campaign back in 2016. He's leading Mandel since the last debate, with Vance and Timkin both about ten points behind. Looks like a reasonably populist pick, if a shade Boomercon.

And before anyone says anything about him sitting on some American-Israeli business committee, look at Mandel's early life, if you need to.
