Setting Discord to streamer mode would have stopped her from getting caught for the deadman's switch nonsense from last year. She would probably have survived the Discord yab without it.

I believe it was mentioned elsewhere at the time, but Discord was bugged at the time and notifications were popping up even while streamer mode was active for Rushia, and other Holomems as well. The real problem was Rushia messaging personal contacts from her work account. All this could have been avoided with proper OpSec. But as others have shown, Rushia was particularly tech-illiterate.

But the second part to crazy SJW shamers on Twitter is there's NEVER a path to redemption. Once you have made one mistake online, they will berate you and bludgeon you with it until the end of time. Because while you might regret something and apologize for it, a fresh person will find the controversy a week later and either not see the apology, or not think it's good enough. Or they sense blood in the water and try to dig up even MORE stuff to make you apologize for.

Suisei and co seem to be choking on stream (13th and 15th), the rrats are going to fly.

I'm not going to pass judgement myself because I'm not watching them, so it would be inappropriate to do so.

But there were murmurings last pseudo-scrim that Towa, Suisei, and Aqua were not streaming their POV because they were hiding the fact that a coach was present despite saying that they had rejected having a coach.

They won two games in a row and looked monsterous. In today's pseudo-scrim, they did not stream their POV for the first game (which they won), but streamed every other game where they haven't played as well.

As a competitive player for other games (Tekken, P4A), I know very well that you play differently when people are watching you, but the whole situation surrounding this comes off as unnecessarily suspicious for something that could be easily explained as stage fright.

Personally, I am uncomfortable accusing them of foul play; mostly because I don't think they're stupid enough to believe they could get away with feinting 70K+ viewers. I think they've just gone about everything in a way that makes them look sketchy.

I'll check twitter later for any comments. Aqua has a lot of Antis anyway so rrats could very easily start brewing with as yet unfounded accusations.

All matches have had random players btw. They've had to stop two games because viewers weren't behaving.

But yeah. I don't think any of them are being piloted (a pro is playing while they pretend it's them, which was an accusation levied against Nekomiya Hinata and Yakumo Beni in the past). Aqua is genuinely just cracked at the game.

Their team finished 1st overall today, one point ahead of 2nd which was Noah/Reimu/Ebio's team.

Aqua's team doing pretty well makes sense. Towa has been in multiple tournaments and has done well in them before. Aqua is Masters rank. The unknowns were really "can Aqua do well in a team?" and "will Suisei not be useless?" Doesn't seem too unlikely for me that the answer to both questions would be yes. On the flip side even good teams can come bottom half when playing pubs or in a tournament. Apex is designed in a way that even really good players can and will get killed by decidedly less skilled ones fairly often.

They've consistently finished either high or low at a roughly 50/50 ratio with not much in-between.
