Humans have a natural fascination with death. I lived in Thailand for a few years. At least at that time, it was common to see "faces of death" magazines at news stands. Maybe seeing dead bodies somehow helps people to confront their own fears of death. I don't know. I'm sure some people are just twisted and get off on seeing dead bodies.
I will share a link to a site that catalogues photos of dead Russian soldiers. I don't share it for the purpose of glorifying violence.
The site claims to be making the images available for the sake of helping Russian families to identify their dead loved ones. I can't vouch for that claim one way or another.
But for the purposes of education - and to emphasize my view that war is hell and that every effort possible MUST be made to avoid warfare, I am making the link available here.
Be warned, the photos are graphic, gruesome and psychologically disturbing. Please do not visit the site if you are sensitive to such material. The images are truly haunting.

It fetishises The Patriotic War while its aged veterans lived in utmost destitution. It blames the entire world for its problems while using them as a scapegoat to bolster Putin's cruel crony regime that leads to poverty, violence, brain drain and suffering. It's a misleading number because the Russian government has judicially stamped out the un-controlled opposition over the course of two decades while being marred in fraud. Anytime regional elections don't align with United Russia's blessings the political bodies get incarcerated. Even if it's an accurate rating, we are speaking of war times. People tend to rally behind their government during war. Zelensky's soared ratings are an example of that.

From watching many, many Russian car crash videos, these vans take nothing to flip over.

Added: The nice thing, when they flip over, usually doesn't take much to put them back up. Have seen five or six guys grab such a van and put it back up on Russian streets.
