Firstly, the anti-air complex was made in USSR i.e. every military in Ukraine had it, so it could be ukies. Secondly, the ones that were on rebel territories were broken by military when they fleed from their bases. Thirdly, you can't just use it, it's very complicated system with three vehicles, people spend months learning how to use it. Fourthly, that plane was moving towards war zone alone, even though all other flights were not, which kinda makes a statement about dispatcher even more suspicious. Fifthly, despite rebels being OBVIOUSLY GUILTY THOSE BLOODTHIRSTY MONSTERS WERE THE ONLY ONES WITH THAT WEAPON, ehm, why wasn't it proven in eight years and never went beyond "hurr durr it was shot down"? Probably, because if you look closely, there will no doubt who did it, but showing it would be the wrong thing to do, since ukies are on the right side of history and shit.

What does that matter, in English both Odessa and Odesa are accepted. I'm a Slavic speaker and I prefer using Odessa. That's no more wrong when Westerners write Burgas (Бургас) as Bourgas. The name is Greek, anyway.
