Towa's 1M endurance karaoke's going on right now!
Already knew about this, it's why I don't think Ina will ever want to go back to Twitch willingly.reminder ina used to be twitch streamer before holo
I saw that she was playing Yakuza 0 on PS5 so she did eventually get it, but what happened? Was it seriously delayed?- Her motion capture suit has to be sent to Japan before it gets sent to Austria. There's a good possibility that it will be a repeat of her PS5 situation.
It was delayed for months. Over 4 I think. At one point it failed to get through customs at Austria and had to be sent back to Japan and resent.I saw that she was playing Yakuza 0 on PS5 so she did eventually get it, but what happened? Was it seriously delayed?
How can cover have a entire branch of talent mostly in the united states , disallow a 3d debut outside of japan?- When the suggestion of doing a debut with all the girls in North America instead came up, Kiara said Cover will not allow a debut outside Japan.
- Company will not subsidize for travel or the rental of a studio outside of Japan.
They clearly haven't thought any of this through. It feels like they are stringing EN and ID along, but at at least ID is getting an office and a potential place to do their 3D shit there. EN is totally fucked in comparison. For a company that wants to have their cake and eat it too, they sure aren't pushing hard for travelling Visas for their talents. How can cover have a entire branch of talent mostly in the united states , disallow a 3d debut outside of japan?
its a 11 hour flight from LAX to Tokyo , and with covid good fucking luck getting in , yet they were fine with what ever they used to film their performances? God cover really is incompetent.
I'm only an affiliate so I can only speak in that regard, you can only stream on one platform at a time (so no multi stream) and you have a mandatory 24 hour vod exclusivity, so you can't upload to youtube etc for a full day after the stream. So for people like Hololive/Nijisanji etc etc even as affiliates they'll do just fine and have basically 2x source of income. Corp vtubers cannot go for partnership on Twitch though, that I know very well. So it's more suited for them to do their IRL stuff on it than it being a double-dip source that cover seems to want it to be.Iirc one of em (affiliates, maybe partners) requires you to only live stream on twitch. It's retarded and no streamer should ever sign that contract. You have to multi stream, twitch's discovery algorithm for small streams is shit/non-existent.
The biggest issue with holoen is the fact they arent all in the continental US, 2 (soon to be 1) are in japan, 2 afaik are in australia, 1 is in Europe and the rest are either in the US or are land connected to the US. Cover refusing to treat holoen like a actual branch and not just talents visiting the US will probably fuck up future gens alot more , what about holo en 3 or 4? Holostars en? Cover needs to treat them like a actual branch soon before the issues become very pressing. They clearly haven't thought any of this through. This is just a theory but since cover has had so many issues with youtube streaming , maybe they are planning to test the waters with twitch for when/if youtube fucks up again?I'm only an affiliate so I can only speak in that regard, you can only stream on one platform at a time (so no multi stream) and you have a mandatory 24 hour vod exclusivity, so you can't upload to youtube etc for a full day after the stream. Yeah, sometimes I really don't understand COVER's way of things, but maybe that just the "Japanese mindset" business kicking into play here. They have literally have some of the pioneers of the EN vtuber industry and they act like "Well your not it japan so, you know that's on your to sort it out but don't be breaking any rules now"They clearly haven't thought any of this through. Unless fandeads have some next-level tech that can perfectly emulate Rushia's voice, I don't see why those videos were fake.I wonder if that rumor about Rushia messaging her top superchatters was true
I think its less a Japanese thing and more a company thing , its cheaper to just have online support for the talents and then if needed fly them out to japan , of course covid has thrown a massive wrench in this plan and cover refuses to adapt under the though process that japan will lift their restrictions "soon".Yeah, sometimes I really don't understand COVER's way of things, but maybe that just the "Japanese mindset" business kicking into play here. I can really see why in countless free talks and what not you seen the Myth members say time and time again that they are literally on their own to organise and do anything. It a bit saddening but I suppose it what makes them as strong as they are today because they had to go above and beyond compared to the JP branch now to get anything done.
Ina didn't stream much before holo. Ame did. Her claim to fame was Twitch streaming (as was Gura's) but neither really want to go back to Twitch for any reason. Calli only had a few Dice streams on YT before holo so has less of a connection with the Twitch space.Already knew about this, it's why I don't think Ina will ever want to go back to Twitch willingly.
