I know you probably never passed social studies 8, and Your ego is too large and you are
stubborn. But realise that you are costing many people a chance to express their
individuality and collective identities. Tens of thousands of people use r/place as a way to
express themself and gain some sort of acceptance which can be hard to come by in this
day and age. The internet is a way to bring together communities and nationalities and place
is a perfect representation of how the smallest people can have a sense of significance in
this world. It has a minimal effect on the large communities like Germany, France, America
and yourself because they're already too big to lose. But to the small communities they have
to organise themselves in a way they never have before, and as a result it brings a few
people together in each community through only one common interest, and who knows?
Maybe some of those people will become lifelong friends? Also this event is bringing
communities together. Some people might find their new favourite hobby through this. Your
community is destroying these bonds. While your viewers are doing your will for the same
reason as anyone else who contributes to place; to gain a sense of significance, the doing of
your command is breaking apart those communities and those little bonds that could be
created between people. Even though your viewers might be a bunch of prepubescent kids,
believe they still deserve the same right to sense of significance as anyone else. So I do not
blame them for liking your content, or for obeying you for that little bit of belonging, I only
wish they saw in you the way I see in you; greedy, stubborn, and careless because you are
unable to see that you are destroying opportunities for people to connect. But it's not too late
to change.
If only you would see that you are hurting these communities and that you have the power to
stop. You can still give your viewers a sense of belonging without destroying other groups of
people. If you use only the territory that belongs to you. and before you say "They're only
pixels" remember they represent a person's individuality. No one would hate you for
expressing your community, that's what place is about. Your viewers wouldn't lose any
respect for you if you did this, in fact some might gain respect if they're smart enough to see
that you'd be growing as a person, giving up your selfish egotistical traits to become a more
honourable person who doesn't abuse his power. You aren't making a very good name for
yourself. History never works in the tyrants favour. If you want to create a legacy for yourself
this isn't the way to do it.
While I disagree almost entirely with what you're doing to place, I feel I need to thank you.
Because if you hadn't become the invader that you are, some alliances wouldn't have been
made. You took the osu! community from being an annoying pink circle made of bots to
being a hero who defends against you. Many small communities link together to make an
attempt at stopping you. You have united us through a common enemy. You cannot have
growth without conflict. I ask you to please stop attacking the small communities. Almost no
one deserves to be raided but you raid against foes who cannot fight back.

All of this continued bullshit over r/place has made me realize that these Redditors actually think that losing a slapfight over a limited amount of e-pixels means someone has erased their identity on the Interwebz. I'm not going to lie, I thought they were being ironic about how important r/place was to them at first.

If so it's hilarious that we are this big oppressive group of meanies but we haven't bothered to go brigade some groups pink and blue pixels.

Meanwhile the transplace group keeps suggesting going after other people's work, and changing everything to flags. Lol says something

I'm still trying to understand what's going on.

So, Reddit has a game where users can make pixel art. 4chan decides to raid other subreddits with a trans flag to get THOSE subreddits angry enough to vandalise other pixel art.

One mod decides to go rogue and bans anybody from interfering with their design while cheating the system.

I didn't know it was that serious.

A reddit admin was caught abusing her position to set her tile cooldown to zero (note: cooldown is 5 minutes and 20 minutes for email verified and unverified users respectively) in order to erase an Orange Cat (A) that was previously posted by Reddit on twitter. (A)

Merely placing pixels near the cat resulted in a personal ban, resulting in the bannings of users from /r/AnarchyChess as their subreddit logo bordered the Orange Cat.

People who tried asking about their bans had their posts removed as well

Reddit went a step further and manually deleted the accounts so that whenever you try to visit an account banned for placing a tile - you get this page.

Example of an account manually deleted - they last posted yesterday proving it is a real account. As you can see, this was an active and real account that was not only banned, but deleted (the sub he posted in has now gone private, so this is an archive).

2nd example - proof (A)

Other people caught on, resulting in posts calling it out that reached the front page. Initially the admins tried to do damage control by setting a filter on /r/place to automatically remove any post that mentions the cheating or the Orange Cat that was overwritten. Another reddit admin responded (A) saying admins have been cheating to "keep the canvas safe for everyone," a laughably poor excuse considering they didn't interfere with people drawing penises, the 4Chan logo, or swastikas over the German flag.

Why ban a cat from a Ukrainian that’s being besieged by the Russian military? That seems like the kind of person Reddit would want to promote.

I assure you that I (and many others here) do not have lives outside the internet. I still don't care about the Reddit meme, and my boomer ass can barely even follow what this r/place nonsense is even about or how it works or why they care about a cartoon cat so much.
