It's funny listening to Chantal do karaoke without the luxury of her voice bring filtered by Smule.
If you're an oldie to the Chantal-verse, you'll recall when she'd upload videos her singing songs she grew up loving, like Hey Jealousy by the Gin Blossoms. She'd get praise over how great she sounded and it only fed her delusions to the point she entertained the idea of taking singing lessons. Of course, she has barely any follow through and that never happened.
But she can't sing to save her life despite believing she's a good singer. Really, that hits to much of what is discussed in this thread: she has a delusional understanding of herself, likely built on heavily filtered everything. The reality is that there's not much authentic about Chantal. Even her social interactions largely defy the image she has created on her channel of this boss bitch tough girl who's confident and strong. In person, as you can largely see in her Cuba videos, she's frequently very timid, awkward and not confident at all - unless she's alone.
It's just funny getting a glimpse of how she really sounds without her voice tuning - just as it's funny getting a glimpse of how fat and ugly she is when her camera filters aren't on.
