The Germans have just announced that they're assuming control of Gazprom's German assets as a 'temporary measure' to deal with the pullout of the parent company from doing business in the EU and UK.
But the slight problem of where to source replacement for Russian gas remains, and is unsolvable in the medium term. Basically they have to persuade the German public to accept an economic depression, double digit inflation and mass unemployment as a price worth paying to punish the Slav Hitler. They seem to think they can, good luck.
