On the one hand that's fucking retarded. On the other hand, fuck the UN. The security council has needed to be updated for a while now, but booting Russia isn't the way to do it. As one of the major nuclear powers, they have to be on it.

The UN is just basically a forum for the governments to have at least one place to communicate, and to keep the most useless dregs of politicians from starving. No matter who they put or take out of the security council nothing changes because ultimately it relies on individual countries wanting to make a move. Unless something crazy happens, it seems the powers of the West have settled in the actions they are going to take on this matter.

I think over a dozen EU countries expelled even more Russian embassadors over it already, the US and Canada are clamoring to kick Russia from UN Human Rights Council and Zelensky is calling to disband UN Security Council in its entirety because there is no way to kick Russia out of it. The only country that refused to make any statements before the investigation takes place is - you guessed it - China.
