The first thing that would happen is search engines and social media blocking it, followed by the Kyiv Independent flipping the script into Russians throwing 6 gorillion people into a gas chamber, their version gets boosted by NATO media, becomes the first version seen by most, while the Russians can only seethe as they're muted and filtered worldwide.

A real example being the woman Azov tortured to death in Mariupol (with the swastika), that the Russians reported week or so ago (example from March 27), is just now being re-used with a flipped script where Russians did it. If you try googling about the tortured Mariupol woman now, you'll just get the newer stories with the new spin.

My point being the information/event itself wouldn't matter if NATO controls the narrative, they have free reign to flip the script, any Ukrainian crime can become a Russian crime instead, any Russian evidence can be repurposed for a new narrative.

The Russian soldiers involved in this aren't actually conscripts to my knowledge. They're the "professional" soldiers who signed up for the military. Though I'm going to go out on a limb and guess a lot of them signed up because they had few other options.

Still, the conscripts are the people serving their year of mandatory military service. They aren't involved in Ukraine right now, and as far as I can tell Putin technically isn't supposed to deploy them unless there's been an actual declaration of war by Russia. Hence the incident at the start where some of them apparently were sent into Ukraine in a support capacity, and Putin had to smooth things over with the public and promise that their deployment had been a mistake and they'd been withdrawn.

Which would be hilariously hypocritical of Putin to invade another country in what he insists is a "special operation", only to turn around and whine about acts of war when the "special operation" goes badly enough that the invaded country is instead bombing bases and other military targets in Russia to eliminate the threat to themselves.

He'd still do it of course. Being able to justify a general mobilization is probably one of his best options to rescue the military situation in Ukraine.
