Well, at 5:35, he said that Russia and the whole world would recognize the Taliban government with a delay of 15 years, and he said this in 2014! About Ukraine, he said that it should be integrated into Russia but that the western part should be left alone.
It seems to me that Zhirinovsky is a successful Russian Alex Jones, who, despite his strangeness, is quite competent in geopolitics.

a Saddam is next to impossible. for a Gaddafi the way I could see that is if Russia loses this so catastrophically that no amount of spin and propaganda at their home would surmount the public outcry that the country's asshole got rekt by fucking hohols of all people...and given Putin probably at least has this inkling of a possiblity in his mind, frankly I'm somewhat scared that if it ever comes to the point when Ukraine is unironically taking back Sevastopol, tactical nukes would fly sooner than let that happen. it's also why I'm still rooting for my poll voting of 'Stalemate' where both sides can lie to themselves that they didn't 'really' lose, however that looks like.

At this point most people have realized that it's either back down and have your economy destroyed with nothing to show for it or push forward and have your economy destroyed while achieving at least some of the stated goals, whatever they may be. Since the sacrifice is already made, might as well get something out of it in addition to the humiliation.
