If that scenario were to happen, Russia would be offering Serbia the same kind of support that NATO is offering Ukraine now. That's kind of the point of a proxy war.
HAHAHAH oh yeah im sure the promise of mighty russian help is gonna mean so dang much after this last month.

At this point they would probably be more likely to trust in arms shipments from freakin equatorial guinea because atleast the dysfunctional trash they will receive might come with some tasty tropical treats.

Russia has failed at every level to win the war.
they did succeed in conquering most of donbass and almost the entire azov coast except for a tiny pocket of resistance in mariupol. if they simply fortify and dig in on the territory they control right now, they can probably force ukraine to accept a peace deal that gives a ton of territorial concessions to russia, either in the form of more breakaway republics or outright annexiation to russia itself.

the war obviously didn't go down like the telegram posters with their "3 days to kiev" memes wanted it to go, but it's still far from the point where one could call it a russian defeat or even a ukrainian victory.

Uh, what? :chicken:

I mean Russia has failed at every level to win the war. Remember how Kyiv was supposed to be invaded then they're forced to push back because it turns out logistics matter the most. Anyone see the countless Russian vehicles caught on the side of the road and left there. I mean at this point the way Russia is going to look like they will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This all has to do with the fact that they sorely underestimate the NATO weaponry sent to them.
Hey you know your not allowed to remember what the speds here were posting a couple weeks ago.

Dont make me gib you more frownie downdooterinos

Problem like I said earlier tho is that getting an "inconclusive" result at best in the end of this shitshow considering how much stock russia has placed on its military might schtick both in terms of funding and in terms of international reputation (and hell arms sales for that matter) and at a massive ass cost that may well be an existential tumor for russia going forwards, is effectively sill a major strategic defeat

I mean in donbas they've been forced back. Around the sea of Azoz it's been more successful. But realistically this war ends with a divided Ukraine one that's pro Russian and one that's pro west basically.

Well at this point these self declared menace are throwing shitfits because stalinist monuments to the rape of berlin are being vandalised and are defending the right of elderly anti-nazi diversity loving plutocratic oligarchs to fondle and lick random children in the streets so.....i dont know what the fuck they are at this point.

We are through the fucking looking glass now.

The NATO weaponry the Ukrainians have gotten has mostly been old shit these countries were dumping, some like the Czechs who just sent them soviet tanks from the 70's. Also, saying they've failed on every level to win the war is just wrong and detached from reality.. They've destroyed the vast majority of Mariupol's forces and are preparing to do the same in the Donbas which is where the majority of Ukraine's forces are.
The Kiev shit was never anything beyond a feint to distract the Ukrainians and keep them from reinforcing the troops in the Donbas by forcing them to spread their forces thin to guard too many areas. Remember the supposed imminent naval invasion of Odessa a few weeks ago? The one that never happened. Just consider that the Russians committed roughly the same amount of troops to Kiev as they did to Mariupol, Kiev being a city of over 3 million and Mariupol being a city of around 500,000.
It's really obvious that they were never trying to capture Kiev with that force, there was very little fighting around there, it's just what the western media was focusing on instead of the Donbas and Mariupol where the actual fighting was happen.

I don't agree that Russia has failed to win at every level, after all the southern front is going well for them. But I don't buy one bit Kyiv, and at this point the entire northeastern front, was a feint or a ruse. I believe taking Kyiv was in truth the primary objective, a Plan A, and now they're going for a landbridge to Crimea and Donbass, which is obviously a massive reduction in their war goals.

Russia thought either A.) A significant portion of Ukrainians outside of Donbass would be pro-Russia even after the invasion and take up arms or at least provide a distraction for Ukraine or B.) RUSSIA STRONK and will crush Ukraine's military

What we've been seeing the past week is Russia admitting that it won't be able to achieve the total victory it hoped for, and is now looking at the only front with any significant success to wrap things up there, get a peace treaty or ceasefire, and go home to show the homefront something resembling a victory.

first, i dont think russia is in a position where it has any resources to spare for something like that.
second, how? serbia is landlocked and fully surrounded by nato states, there is no way for russia to deliver anything into the country once the surrounding states close their borders to serbia and their airspace to russia.
Intel and cyber capabilities, hypersonic missile strikes, embedded advisors, etc. And you know how fast allegiances change in that region. Montenegrins have been quite unhappy about being in NATO recently, for example.

"President Alexander Vucic admitted that the country voted for Russia's withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) because of the blackmail of the West. His words cites

He said that the blackmail concerned, among other things, oil supplies to the country.

Our initial decision was to abstain, and then you get a huge pressure that has nothing to do with personal pressure. No one said "you can't be president", they are not blackmailing me personally, but they are blackmailing Serbia

Vucic also stressed several times that Belgrade did not impose sanctions on Moscow, but Serbia itself should not be hit in order to withstand foreign policy pressure and continue its economic growth."

It looks like he's trying to stay neutral, but it didn't work with Luka. And Vucic is not Tito.

Peskov has Putin's hand so far up his ass you see Putin's fingers wiggle in his throat. And yet today he said "Russia has suffered significant losses in Ukraine".

What the fuck is going on.

I mean if I had to guess it is to play the victim which should drum up morale in Russia and instead of forcing conscripts convince them to fight willingly for the Russian cause. To people in the west it may seem like a show of weakness but I am sure in Russia this will inspire people to fight, which is not the worst thing they could do strategically.
